I have been dxed with FM for around 10 or 11 years, but am sure I have had it for most of my life. About 4 or 5 months ago, I started having severe pain in my left knee. Went to the specialist and was dxed as having tendonitis pretty much in my whole left leg. So, the treatment was for me to use ice and to do leg lifts to build the strength up in it. Ya right. That was around a month ago. I did that and more to try to relieve this awful pain. I am taking twice the strength of percocet I normally take and it really hasn't helped enough to speak of, AND in the meantime, something has happened to my right leg just from turning around to sit on the toilet. Everytime I move it just so, the pain in the right leg just about brings me to the floor! It goes around the top of my thigh and into my groin area. When I lay down, if I am on my back everything is okay. I am a side sleeper and when I turn onto my side, both of my legs start throbbing and shooting very bad pain down to my toes. And, if that isn't enough, my lower back is starting to hurt like back when I used to have menstrual cramps. (I am menopausal due to hysterectomy at 39 years old.)I have an appointment with a rheumatologist in a big town about 3 hours away from us. My regular doc refferred me to him. Gotta be there the 7th of this month. I am not too sure I will be walking by then. I can hardly stand up after I have sat down for more that a few minutes. Advice, anyone?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I am so sorry!!! I don't have any suggestions that might be of help for you..
However, I can share some words from someone who does:
1 Thessalonians 5:17-18:
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
And Romans 5:3-5
But we also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness; 4 and stedfastness, approvedness; and approvedness, hope: 5 and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us.
And I can pray for you...
Love and hugs,
