Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

My physical therapist recently used a cold laser on my neck (TheraLaser), and I did noticed a very significant improvement a few days later. This is a Class 3 laser, and it costs thousands of dollars.
I have been reading up on light therapy recently and learned that the most therapeutic wavelengths are are between 600 to 900 nanometers (red to near-infrared). It promotes cell healing, regeneration, production of ATP, etc. Light therapy uses both LED's (reach shallow tissues) and lasers (reach deeper tissues like joints).
I just ordered a mini combo light (consisting of LEDs) from Red Man Light (a company in the UK), which gives off 4 wavelengths in this range. (It looks like a shower head.) They also offer a panel of LEDs that gives off a sauna effect (but much more expensive). They told me that it does NOT give off heat.
If you look in the internet (YouTube), some people show you how to make your own infrared sauna from items from the hardware store. However, it looks like they are only using heat lamp bulbs that are not necessarily in the therapeutic range of wavelengths discussed above.
I will let you all know how the Red Man Light works out.
