Have had a sore throat for 3 weeks, (work in a school kids and teachers dropping like flies) couldn't stand it anymore so went in to get a throat culture. They no longer give throat cultures unless you meet 3 out of the 5 criteria. How to decipher what are fibro. body aches and headaches versus strep aches and headaches. She chalked it up to fibro and gave me a 2 for strep sooo no test. I'm exhausted, achey, headache that won't go away....she said it's ok to have strep it will eventually go away. What about getting other people sick? Frustrated.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Strep is a treatable condition, no matter what other existing conditions you may already have are.
I learned from the fibro specialist to NOT mark all the areas that hurt, to only pick the worst specific area. He then used a marker with arrows to show me how the pain travels (fast) and gave me a technique that I continue to use daily to push the fibro into motion moving from resting.
My suggestion would be to present just the strep symptoms (those you know to be specific to strep diagnosis).
Fibro is only possible to diagnose AFTER all other diagnoses have been eliminated, so the diagnosis was done improperly, no matter what the result is.
Headache, body aches, exhaustion, all have different levels based upon normal levels from resting to motion, and knowing your base line will give you the courage to remove fibro from the cause of the exceeding symptoms.
Using a journal with stick figure to show the pain helped me to get treated effectively for a different medical condition which in turn lowered my base line.
Best wishes. Sorry that you are being treated as if "fibro" explains your strep. That's just plain wrong.
