Hi. I'm new here. I have chronic pain almost everyday. I am in pain every day but I have good days too but still have pain. My doctor told me I have Fibromyalgia but I don't really know what that is. My joints are all sore even my fingers and stiff too, My muscles also hurt from the neck down. Do your joints hurt as well the muscles?
I am in pain all day. Advil can help some and vicodinES takes a while to kick in. Does antone have advise about what medicines help and if your joints hurt too.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Did you see a rheumy for a complete dx? I saw a neurologist who referred me to a rheumy. They do different blood test then a reg dr does.
Have they checked you for RA, LUPUS, lymp , thyroid and right now there are a couple others that mimic fibro but cant think of them .
PLease be sure you see a specialist because if there are meds out there to help your specific need it would be great,
Hope you find out the exact medical problem esp with your joints, sounds like RA but we arent drs. So no reason to even guess.
Goodl luck
In other words, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in my neck and lower back. However, that did not explain the continuing pain I have on a daily basis.
When the diagnosis came through for fibromyalgia and myofascial pain, the next step was to learn how to separate the pain to know what would work to release the pain.
I have medicine that reduces the impact of the pain on my normal daily living activities. This makes it easier for me to stay active, which keeps me from being active "chronic mild depression".
Fibromyalgia is not a one size fits all diagnosis, so keep asking questions to get the right diagnosis to go along with it so your pain can be treated effectively.
Best wishes.

The last rheumy ordered way more test than the other 2 so I will take her diag. over the other 2.
Soft hugs to all!
It is cruial that you find a way to sleep deeply, work with a doctor. I take amitriptaline and the difference is amazing! Good luck
We are all trying to find a way to stop this crazy pain and it's not easy.
