Do you remember a commercial that played on TV some years back: an elderly person is on the floor , saying"Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!"
Well, that describes me today. Or at least part of me. I'm very tired, and I feel it in my face. My eyes are heavy, and burning. My face feels slack, any attempt to smile or even speak is an effort. This happens a lot when I am tired, and causing problems reading, or watching TV. I am "always" tired, unfortunately, but I don't understand this facial fatigue and burning eyes.
I am lying down right now, and it's only just suppertime. I hate being so "lazy", it's not 7n my nature. I would love to go out for a walk, but I can't. I hope nobody phones me, because I am too tired to talk. Yes, that's right, my mouth can't come to the phone right now, please leave a message!
Have any of you experienced this facial fatigue?

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Well..my thyroid might be a problem. I have a high TSH but normal T4. TSH increases when your thyroid isn't producing enough thyroid hormones...if only the TSH is high, it could be early or subclinical. Will wait and see if they want to do anything about that or just recheck it at some point. Either it'll even out or my T4 will drop. Meanwhile it's hot and I'm working with Karen, and I have no...

Burning eyes are another thing altogether. I do have dry eyes which are noticeable worse when I'm tired. You should probably see an ophthalmologist to get your eyes checked.
You are not lazy. You are being pro active by resting when you need to rest rather than pushing yourself. Making smart choices like that is better than bringing on a flare. Take care.
ditto suggestion to see eye doc. To be safe.
rest away. i have laundry that may walk itself to a washer at this rate!
Second, You are NOT lazy. You are fatigued. There is a HUGE difference. You are entitled to take care of yourself.
Now go to a doctor
Wow...there are some disturbing images in that paragraph...but hey this is a disturbing illness...gotta keep it real...
I can absolutely relate to what you are experiencing. When my fatigue gets that bad, not only is it hard to speak (and the other things you've described) I also find it hard to listen and concentrate. Sometimes I'm so fatigued that I feel as if I'm completely drunk. It's hard to function that way and it is extremely frustrating. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! XOXO
I try to pace myself in daily activities, to avoid episodes like this. Just wish I could do more....
As far as I'm concerned, all my research has led me, along with my experience, to e fact that this is a central nervous condition, has a physical cause ( not some weird psychological problem ) and effects literally the entire body. That is where your CNS goes! Everywhere on your body. Sad, but that's how it's working in me.
so glad the episode has passed. I think its a great idea to mention it to the Dr. when you go next time.
I all so get like that, and I use to love chatting on the phone, but like other have said, the phone and I are no longer friends. I find it just too taxing to the whole thing, I love short text message. I can read them over before sending, just to make sure I make sense.
I was getting the burning eye, which turned out to be dry eyes, and that my eye ducts were closing up, and had to have them lasered to ope them up again, not the tear ducts, but the other ducts.
So seeing an eye Dr. might be useful too.
And I agree with the other, you are not lazy. You just fatigued and that takes a lot out of us.
Sending you some caring, positive thoughts.
