Hey. Back from "doc".
NP gave me antibiotics for ankle. got tetanus booster.
Then the NP comes back in with another NP, and announces, "You have a heart murmur, this person has more cardio experience, she'll listen too".
WHAT THE FCUK!? Where'd this happen? How? What? I saw MD 4 weeks agoand nothing. 20 years of nothing.
So this NP says "it's a subtle heart murmur but we're going to schedule an echocardiogram and determine severity and so forth" nad I'm just sitting there with my head spinning, can't breathe, utter meltdown b/c I can't do another thing wrong in life, let alone with me, and what the fuck?
We have app't with actual MD in two weeks, but I dunno when we get the echo, and it's just freaking me out. If it's subtle, then is is there? Is it a problem? What do I do? What should I do? WTF?
I'm left adrift. By NPs.
I hate nurse pracs. Not one positive experience yet, just *one* lone experience with a nurse practitionerthat wasn't bad. (Not good. Juzt not bad.)
So that's my day.
Hubby, btw, is dong fine on his weird illness. Glad someone is.
Going back to ed. I'm unable to cope.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I know that fear quite well. It will scare the crap out of you for the next two weeks. Suddenly, everything is going to be focused on your heart. No way around that, unless you can just ignore it somehow. And I fail at that daily.
I have premature ventricle contractions. PVC's. Well we all do, but a select group of us can feel them. I never felt them before when I was younger but one day they just showed up. That was the day my anxiety and panic attacks started.
For me, I get them when the blood fill up in the lower quadrants and then the heart has to "PUMP" hard to get it out. So it's like my heart gets hiccups. And it's so disturbing. Wanna know what else trips it? Hormones! I keep joking that if I survive menopause, it will be amazing.
Another thing that trips it up, stress. All of that stress we carry goes right to our hearts or our guts (you know the inner ones, not the dress size reference). It can shut them both down. Our bodies were not meant to deal with the stress load we put onto them. And when they've had enough, they will start weeping or yelling in some way or fashion.
But we were also on a murmur scare when Andrew was still inutero. I had to go to a few specialists and then it wasn't confirmed until after he was born that he in fact did have a healthy heart. I still was concerned until he was about 2yrs old, but then his sleep apnea (that required surgery) took over and well, to be honest, I have checked on him every night these past 13yrs when I wake up at night. I don't know what I'll do when he moves out. I thinking stealth cams in his home.
It's a rough at tumbly day here. Last night we discovered a baseball sized lump in his armpit. My hubster didn't notice it until last night. It's really squishy, seems more like a fatty cyst, but I'm running on adrenaline here.
My head is just spinning, dealing with it all between mom, back to school, and now this. I prayed a lot last night. I can see more of that today too.
Anyways, I gotta run, I need to be at mom's soon, and get the house here in order (we've been gone so much, nothing has been getting done) as I have some friends of my mom's dropping off some food later for her.
I hope everyone has a great day today! Hugs to all.
Leo, my mom has had a heart murmur for years, I know it seems overwhelming and like one more thing, but I don't think there is anything to worry about. I will be praying for your anxiety and your heart.
Wonder, your heart would scare the crap out of me. So your husband has the lump in his armpit? I am praying either way and I sure hope you get some time to settle down soon. Hugs
This week has been the best for my stomach, until yesterday it started in right at 4pm and then this morning has been rough. My right side is really hurting and I'm bloated.
I had a rough morning with Maddie. She wouldn't even tell me goodbye when she got on the bus and didn't wave to me. So yes my heart feels broken today and I can't wait to see her.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Twin, Maddie is probably having a day like my late sis would have, testing things around her maybe?
Wonder, big hugs. I got a golf-ball like that showed up nearly overnight it seemed, and then it was just fluid and disappeared, ne'er to be seen again. Hugs.
Leo - I have PVCs too like Wonder and I can feel them. They started just before my knee replacement. About two weeks before so I ended up having an echo and then a stress test done in short order. And, then I had my knee replaced as scheduled. I hate going to the doctor too because there is always some new drama. I just don't/can't care anymore. I'm at the point where I just say no and carry on as usual. There are only so many fingers that can be used to plug a leaking dam lol. My 91 year Mom has a heart murmur and it doesn't cause any problems.
Wonder - I sure hope that lump in Andrew's armpit turns out to be nothing. You've got so much on your plate already. I hope that your Mom continues to do well. Hugs!
Twin - I'm sorry that your stomach is at it again. Maddie is just having a moment. She will be OK and you will too. I hope that your day at work is OK. Support and hugs headed your way.
Time to hit the eject button and get moving. It is cooler here today. I want to clean out another lily bed while the humidity is low. Shout out to Bear! I will check back later!
Fantod, Enjoy the cooler weather while you get some yard work done. I want to go see a movie over the weekend, but not sure if that will happen. I'm glad you got out yesterday. Sending you lots of support as I'm sure you will need it after doing the yard work. Hugs
Leo, I'm confused. What does an itchy ankle have to do with a heart murmur? Either way I hope they gave you something to help the itch and there's nothing serious going on with your heart. Glad Mr. Leo is cool as a cucumber.
Wonder, I had a cyst like that when I was kid. Is it painful? They surgically removed mine and life resumed. Actually, I remember walking into urgent care and and *telling* them to remove it lol. The doctors were shocked, they said they could drain it or put me on antibiotics and see how that goes. I said no cut it out. Their jaws were on the floor. I hope what he's got is no big deal.
Twins, I'm so sorry your gut is back to its thing again. I hate it when I think I've discovered a fix and then "wham" the misery returns. It's so frustrating! Your GI doc, rheumy and neuro should do a conference call and collaborate on your issues. I hope Maddie gives you a hug when she comes home.
Fantod, I envy the low humidity you have. Good luck with the lily bed and I hope you feel OK afterwards. My back always kills me after pulling weeds.
I hope I can get through living here for a year. I can't get used to the high amounts of moisture. I threw out another pair of moldy shoes today. Soon I'll have nothing left but a couple pairs of sandals and my rubber boots lol. Hubby picked up a bigger dehumidifier for the walk-in closet yesterday. It dried my damp clothes up in a jiffy :).
The walk-in closet has now become more of a storage room. It's so cluttered in there I can hardly open my wardrobe / drawers. We have to do something about that.
I have horse therapy today. I am excited but at the same time anxious because the Old Testament class has so much reading material to cover, any time away from the books causes me to fall behind.
Plus my gut has been so cranky lately, I hope I can make it out of the house. I pulled my back a few days ago and the pain is still hanging around... knees and feet, too. Tomorrow hubby and I hope to dip in a waterfall around here somewhere.
Leo I have Superventricular Tach and I feel it often. Sometimes it is a light flutter like a butterfly and other times it is like a hammer trying to come out of my chest. I know the fear that comes with it well. I say try not to panic until you know what it is. I know that is hard but stressing out about it is not going to help. Hugs and prayers.
Wonder I am praying that the lump your hubby has is just a water filled cyst. You already have too much to deal with. I hope your cleaning moms house and dealing with all that follows goes easy on you today.
Twins I am sure Maddie is just adjusting to school and maybe trying to show independence. It is always hard on our hearts when our children show displeasure with us. I hope you have a good day.
Fantod I hope the cooler weather is a blessing. I would have loved to go see that movie. Anything with history to it and I am hooked.
I am not sure when or if my housekeeper will be here today or maybe tomorrow. She teaches and wasn't sure what her schedule looked like. She was supposed to call me and let me know but didn't. It is the first week of school so I understand how hectic things are.
It is cloudy and cooler today but the temps will be going up through the holiday weekend and next week. I am slowly working on my bedroom shelves but it is slow going. I started decorating my shelves on my head board yesterday to give it personality.
I hope all who follow have a great day and all those on here.
Fantod, I'm heading over after karate to grab some brownies. :-)
Pam, I was wondering about you, praying for some relief.
Blue, your cottage sounds like major roughing it to me. I couldn't do it. Hang in there. And I talked to Maddie on the phone and she said she had a great day and didn't even mention this morning so I didn't either. Kids!
Autumn, I hope the housekeeper gets there soon to give you some help. Out temps are going up for the Holiday weekend too. I'm thinking fun indoor activities and crafts.
I read a behavioral study from the Netherlands did comparisons of fibromites, v. normals on goal conflicts in daily life. Almost got mad, as the study didn't pick up on mod-severely affected like me (lots of fatigue). When your day ends at noon or 2pm, do you suppose one might have goal conflicts? Huh?
Take care of yourselves. Speak gently and nicely to yourselves at all times and breathe.
Leo , I responded to your other thread .
Wonder, get your Hubby and his armpit to the Dr. Better safe than sorry.
Autumn , I envy your 10 hours of sleep. I want/need that.
That is all I got. I was at the GI Dr office for 2 hours this afternoon and I am toast. Walked out of there needing an ultrasound of my gallbladder in the near future. It is always something.
Also, now I want a freaking brownie . : )
Low pain levels and good sleep wishes for all.
