Is this something I should be concerned about ? Or any one have this happen is or could this be something I should have checked out right away ? should I just call my GP and go in and see her ?
I HAVE a DX of IH , Fibro,RLS,IBS,Cronis Fatigue,Doc has mentioned in the past and was treated with PT for 4 months for left side weakness.
ANY of your thoughts would be appreciated !! TY in Advance

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
In my case, anxiety over the situation added to the party as I call it when it's hard to separate the different physical symptoms and some of the symptoms overlap, so when it gets confusing, I add information to the journal to see what kinds of patterns there are.
Hope you feel better.
I was dx a couple of years ago with PVC (premature ventricle contractions)....in short...feels either like the 'flutter; you just mentioned or like a big ole heart beat.
It's basically a malfunction in the hard wiring of your heart. It's not your heart malfunctioning...it's the electrical components failing....mis-firing so to speak. And if it happens in the lower ventricles, the blood continues to flow into it. When the heart starts again, it has to push all of that blood back out. The flutters (to me) seem to be just a short series of misfires. At times, this shortens my breath when this happens. And I have experienced a couple of episodes where they have lasted several hours. (usually just before my menstrual cycle).
Depending on where it happens (upper or lower ventricles) is whether or not you 'feel' it.
Both my cardiologist and online have shared that pretty much everyone has them. It's just whether or not you "feel" it.
And "IF" this is it, there are things you can do to try to improve them. Potassium, (I usually eat bananas or increase some potato intake), water intake, sleep deprivation can increase them, processed sugars, caffeine, other stimulants, oh and stress/ anxiety can increase them. Oh, and last but definitely NOT least....hormones fluctuation!!! As I have paid attention to all of this, the hormone imbalances really mess with it more than anything above!
Avoiding or increasing the above helps. It's another balancing act for me just like my dietary intake for Fibro. I no longer drink/eat anything with caffeine...simply because I hate this sensation.
Have yours checked out by a doctor. They will want to rule it out with various tests. But it's so reassuring that it's a normal thing....wish it felt normal!!!
But one more thing to add. When all of this started for me, I researched "FIBRO & HEART CONDITIONS" Fibro is known for attacking all areas of the body. Just like when you experience Fibro fog (when it attacks your brain) or a flare (when it attacks your muscles)..fibro can attack your lungs (where it feels like an asthma attack yet your asthma meds don't work), your eyes and fluctuating vision difficulties.....it can effect your heart too.
At nightfall, when things get quiet around here and I start to sit down to relax, it starts and lasts until I go to sleep. However, it has kept me up at night.
This is fairly new for me, so I am still trying to figure out what brings it on; so far, I think caffeine affects it.
It is driving me nuts.
However - I did end up in the ER from it one time, so it's probably best for you to get it checked out to be safe. I now carry medication with me at all times (a beta blocker) that slows the heart rate should I have another episode like that one! When the paramedics arrived, I was lying on the ground blacking out and gasping for air. My heart rate was 238.
Better safe than sorry. Good luck!
MVP (mitral valve prolapse)

Would ask your doctor about MVP ...
If you can journal what is happening before they started... and see if there is a pattern to when they happen. Things like what you ate or drank, over tired, anxiety, meds taken, etc.
Wish you the best in finding out what is causing this for you !
take care
gentle hugs
I'm thinking it's best to go ahead and talk to my GP about this ..
Great advice too..
I do need to slow or cut out the coffee, eat more with potassium. My stress levels do go up and down with the IH and the 2 boys ! I try not to take it out of proprtion,I do get overwhelmed alot . I do want to know what is causing it , and it does seem to take my breath away but not every time.I can deffintely feel it !
I have had my thyroid checked it always comes back just alittle under normal but no Doctors will say yes I do or No I don't just keep an eye on it ....
