My muscle pains vary from sharp aches to stabbing "Dear God don't let me scream in public" pains. Had some the other day, actually fell down right there on the roadside. Yet, as with you, no noticeable weakness. I end up feeling like someone sucked the marrow out of my bones, leaving me hollow and fragile.
I hope this eases up for you, and for all of us, soon. I
Hugs and smiles,
Leo
Thank you. I must not forget to check this out. (writing a note)
Also, I have used 60 lbs of epson salt last month and still going strong. At the lowest cost of 50 cents a pound, that is a whopping 30 dollars a month.
Well, it does add up! But worth it.
And really it says to use more but then it would be 60 dollars a month.
Now on the flu like aching feelings. I was using that illustration of the aching that comes with the flu to describe the aching I feel most of the time. I am convinced that I am not coming down with the flu or a cold. At least not in my case. Also when I was using the couch potato illustration it was to convey the pain of a normal person who was not physically active experiences when that person works out hard and hurts the next day. These types of pains Ive just described is what I go through on an hour by hour, day by day, week by week, month by month ordeal. This is what Ive had to deal with now for the last 7 months. It used to come and go and migrate all over my body from here to there. Now it is all over me, all the time.
You know I dont drink, smoke or do drugs but if some weed was available to me I would try it. Im glad you have it and it works for you. I dont want to get into politics here but in my opinion the way the drug problem is handled in this country is doing as much or more harm to peoples lives than the drugs themselves. It is sad to say but just about everything has become a racket for the sake of profit in one way or another. Ah but alas, that is the world we live in.
God, yes, Randy! You are describing Fibromyalgia to a "T". Sorry you are having to deal with this. Have you not any decent pain medication?

For a while now every night my feet have been aching. They feel hot on the inside(if that makes sense),their fidgety and get sharp pains.
I cut my hair short because I couldn't hold my arms up long enough to shampoo it. I paid just for a shampoo twice and I couldn't keep that up.
I get muscle pains in my legs that feel like a vain is being stretched until it burns.
I have gotten them in my growing area to the point where I had to freeze until it passed. It would feel like a charlie horse. As for butt cheeks. I told the doctor sometimes it takes my breath when I would sit on a toilet seat.
Again I think this was a great post. TW
I'm sorry that you are having to experience this.
Some great posts have followed, and I hope to gain by the suggestions offered to you.
Thanks for posting such a revelant posting to our feelings. I think I'll print it out for future reference and also to share with friends who still don't believe and think I'm lazy.
I hope you get some relief. I use Lidoderm patches [ rx ], but they don't cover pain- just give a little edge and as far as I can ascertain, no harmful side effects. Started using gel with high % of magnesium and it seems to help some. I've tried so many different things, but I am yet to find anything to cover pain. Went to top rated pain clinic for month, but only to be misdiagnosed there. Water therapy [ walking in pool ] with at least 83-84 degree temp helped more than anything. If water is any cooler, it will cause bad flare with fibro.
I just began taking it this week after so many articles I come across about this vitamin and after almost a week of it I happened to read yet another article, that said it helps with muscle and cartiledge pain. They say 90% of people with chronic pain are deficient in Vit D.
now I got this from a Woman's World magazine I think. So I have no idea if it is valid, but as it happens I swear , I don't have as much pain this week. !
THANK THE LORD (and I really mean that) here lately the fatigue has not been too bad. Ive seen it come and go too sometimes without rhyme or reason. It is also hard for me at times to ascertain whether the fatigue stems from a physical source or mental source. Sad to say but sometimes my attitude towards all of this gets really bad and I just dont want to fight it all. Hey but after dealing with it off and on for about thirty years I guess anybody might develop an attitude. It is just over the last couple of years and especially the last 7 months has it really escalated.
Calcium metabolism can sometimes go off-kilter with sarcoidosis. Not only that, low D can also be a symptom of hyperparathyroidism. People who have calcium metabolism problems attributal to sarcoidosis or hyperparathyroidism should never take anything with vitamin D or calcium unless they have had a serum calcium and PTH test to assess the reason for the low D level. Deficiency, sarcoidosis, and hyperparathyroidism can all cause low D levels. Only deficiency will get better with D, the other two conditions will get significantly worse with D and can potentially kill. Doctors have been sued by patients who have had strokes after they were given vitamin D because the doctor thought they had a deficiency when they actually had hyperparathyroidism (i.e. a parathyroid gland tumour). Two patients on this board currently have parathyroid problems that did not respond to D therapy and whose doctors failed to recognise their high calcium levels ruled out D deficiency. This condition can only be cured by surgery.
If you have a high or highish calcium level, anything containing vitamin D could push calcium into the danger zone. High calcium can cause kidney failure, cardiac arrest, stroke, acute pancreatitis or coma.
Check with doctors before you take D supplements.
Check calcium and PTH level. If calcium is high, never take D. Never take D unless the PTH is bang in normal range. If PTH is high or low, do not take D even if Ds are low.
This is something we need to pay attention to when we are supplementing with Vit D.
