Sending Hugs & Prayers
I tell my hubby that it feels like I just got done running a marathon,my legs will just feel like the inside of them are burning, my muscles are like tighting up,feels like someone is stretching my muscles sometimes.my butt will hurt so bad it hurts to sit down,my arms feel the same way. every Sunday I go to church and we stand and clap our hands to some really cool songs, well Sun. night and all day Mon. Iam in a flare up,just from clapping my hands its like, come on can't even clap my hands,it makes me sick, but I said theres no way I'm just going to sit there, its worth the pain,so you are not alone,I hope you have something you can take for some relief. I know a hot shower helps and then like on Mon. I just take it easy, don't have much choice.
I will be praying for you :)
It feels like the muscles are being twisted and pulled. It goes very deep but is also surface pain too.
I can't Clap my hands ether. Any kind of jarring will start me hurting really bad or I should say worse since I never stop hurting.
Do any of you ever have low pain levels?
For the past two years I can only remember one day that my pain subsided a little bit.
Lucky, my pain sounds a lot like yours.
But I suppose it sounds a lot like everyone too. We have a lot in common in the way we describe our pain.
Are you saying that these two supplements work for muscle pain? If so would you mind posting what kind and how much?
I cannot even type physically that have to use voice recognition. I have got to get some relief from this.
I take magnesium malate but can't see that it's really helping.
If I do anything that puts pressure on my neck my pain just increases.
Thanks for listening in any advice to anyone.
Hope you feel better. Gentle hugs!

Truly, I think exercise helps this kind of pain most, but you have to take it slow and really honor your body's screams. I try to do something every day, even if it's just simple breathing exercises or stretches.
The almost flu thing, I think, is just that. I'm not sure what's going on when I'm really getting the flu and the muscle ache happens but maybe it's the same mechanism. Maybe the flares are viral.
I've always felt like it was similar to a record player with a stuck needle. If I could just get it off that groove, I could get the full blown flu and get over it, but I never get out of that groove. It's extra frustrating because it makes no sense.
When you say if feels like a couch potato working out, have you overdone it at all? It often doesn't take much. Epsom salt baths help soothe my overworked muscles.
These days, I'm pretty much pain free. I think it's from the medical marijuana I started seriously using in August 2009. At the time, I was having severe muscle spasms in my torso. I was up to three Soma a day and starting to experience nasty side effects.
It's really hard for me to be the pot-smoking granny, but I simply can't deny how effective marijuana has been for me. I'm so glad I live in California where I don't have to go to jail for my choice of pain relief.
It's worse also than my last bout of the flu, in '08... I hope I never get the flu again, but fibro pain is worse than that. Sometimes I wonder if it's the actual pain or the fact that it is constant, day after day & just drains every ounce of your strength.
I look forward to naps & bedtime because sleeping gives me a break from the pain... Pain meds ease the pain, but never kills it. Like I said, the only relief I get is when I sleep... but there are nights that I cannot sleep, even taking ambien... I slept from 12-2 last night. I stayed in bed until 3, because I just was not falling back to sleep. That means that the pain today is going to be magnified... I hope I can, at least, take a nap today... and then, I have a sleep study tonight...
