My name is Sandra I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 6 weeks ago, my doctor tried cymbalta and I have been on it for 6 weeks and its not working. I'm stressed out because of this pain, my family thinks it is nothing that I am feeling sorry for myself and they feel I'm not in pain they don't understand what I'm going through right now and it is frustrating. Everyday Is a challenge for me and I'm just looking for some support and advice from people who understand the disease and what we go through on a daily basis. Happy to be here with you all

Unfortunately we're familiar with the lack of understanding from our friends and family. I told my best friend that I had it, which is a RN, and he just rolled his eyes. We haven't talked about it since. Anyway, come on out and read or contribute or vent or whatever you feel comfortable with.
You can get through this, it may be hard and lonely, but do know you have us and we completely understand.
