Today is Good Friday, for those who celebrate. For me, it's just a Friday where there's hopefully less traffic than usual on my way home from work. And a work day that will either be crazy busy or dead (fingers crossed for dead). I'm getting really overwhelmed as we move into April..I'm gonna have a lot going on since the tree is still leaning over my house and Miki still needs her dental-although the vet called me yesterday and they can do it April 11th, so at least I know when that's happening now. I have my own dentist appointment that day so it'll be busy, but the time won't interfere with dropping off Miki or picking her up. I'm still considering moving it to next month though (my appointment, not hers). I'll get a call the beginning of the week when the tree is scheduled, so I can't plan ahead for that as much as I'd like. Then my sister's bachelorette is the last weekend in April. I called yesterday to schedule an echocardiogram for VanGogh and the cardiologist is booked til the end of July...there are others but she is the best in the area. I'm on a cancelation list, and I can probably get in somewhere sooner if he has any issues. Also this doctor works Mon-Wed so I'll be taking a day off for it, and it's an appointment instead of a drop off so I'll be there while they do the echo. I won't necessarily know what I'm looking at or what it means, but she'll tell me what she saw while I'm there.
I need to get my ass moving...I noped out of running yesterday, but it's not pouring today and I've been awake since like 1 am, so no excuses. It is supposed to be drizzly all day though -_-. I'm so sick of the wind and rain we've been having lately. So is Miki..she's a princess about the rain. Shortly after I got her, I was taking her out and it was raining, and she slammed on the brakes. I had to pick her up and carry her out the door. She hasn't done that again because she knows it won't work, but she still walks a couple feet behind me like she's here against her will.

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

I had my current reservation with the cat that I saw this morning extended by one day. There is a holiday surcharge so I'm happy. The cat is close and no trouble at all. This afternoon I have the combative 19 # cat thru Monday morning. Not looking forward to that and hoping that he continues to just yell, snarl and keep a respectful distance. Taking my beach towel with me and lots of treats,
I went grocery shopping at both Krogers and BJs. Getting petrol at BJs was time consuming. The pumps were really backed up. The store was busy but not crazy (yet). Kroger's was pretty quiet which was unusual. I was just glad to be in and out of there so quickly.
After hand to hand combat (lol) with the large and in charge cat at dinner time, I am headed to the last fish fry at St. Andrews. My mother and her caretaker are coming with us. The caretaker who is African is in for some culture shock since there will be highland dancers and bagpipers. We have a party of 14 tonight. Should be fun. Mom is doing really well at home and in PT. Getting out of the facility and coming home has really got her motivated.
My partner now has an ear that will not quit draining. It's painful and he is dizzy. He is going no where today. Apparently, the channels in his head behind his ear are full. He is miserable and feels sick between vertigo and the fluid draining down the back of this throat and from his ear.
Miki - I hope that your work day is quiet!!
Leo- Hope that you guys are OK.
Shoutout to AngelaJo, PuppyMom, Milily, LilMissy, Bec, JP and Blue. Happy Easter weekend!
