found a good muscle rub

hi everyone, i haven't been here for a pretty long time. just thought i'd drop in and tell you all about the newest thing i've tried for this constant pain.........muscle and joint . have any of you tried BioFreeze? i asked the girl at the pharmacy if she'd give me a squirt of the tester for the Blue Stop they had behind (?) the counter while i was waiting. she gave me a sample of BioFreeze and it works better than any of the dozens of rubs that i've tried before.
it's kinda expensive.......$13 for a 4oz tube at the pharm. but i found it online for $35 for 32oz . it's well worth it for me. hope this helps someone else.

WhiteDolphin - you might definitely want to check out the Myoflex. I use it also because I'm so sensitive to the smells and the menthol & capsaicin creams burn my skin. Myoflex is perfect, and I find it works better on muscle pain than the Aspercreme (while for me the Aspercreme works better on the joint pain). .

The active ingredient is trolamine salycilate (sp?) which I think is a close cousin to the Aspercreme. So far the only difference we've found with the generic versions is that some of them are thinner and don't go as far, and some have added perfumes. :(

Bio Freeze works very good. U can find the active ingredient and usually find something cheaper at WalMart or Dollar stores. It is good stuff !

That did not work for me.. I use Icy Hot... and Joint Flex on my hips.. guess everyone is different on what works for their body.... nice of you to let us know... :)

I have also used biofreeze since last summer-it does seem to help sommme, although temporary. It always pays to try new things, as we have to attack our pain on many levels. I was able to walk one mile this morning with my dog. That helps too, when I can do it. Fibrohyg

I have used that successfully, but be careful not to use it where you have nerve pain. It can aggravate nerve pain. I found that out the really hard wayy!

I use a foot rub from Avon that has Wintergreen in it, it is like Asper cream but nicer.

If you have trouble with the bio freeze rub, they make it in a spray or roll on too. Just don't inhale after you spray!!

I have found something that REALLy helps my muscle pain. It is called Two Old Goats. It is formulated especially for arthritis and fibromyalgia. It actually has the word 'fibromyalgia' on the front of the bottle. I heard about it from a friend who has fibro, and I love this stuff. I googled it. then ordered it off the internet. It has no strong odor and absorbs quickly and lasts for hours. Thought I would share this with y'all.
