Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

I have actually contributed a couple posts, but I think I should have first introduced myself to the group. My online name is enaid but my real name is diane. I am 73 years old and have had fibromyalgia for many many years but was just diagnosed in my mid 60s. For 38 years I did not sleep at all and a night when I was able to sleep four hours was a great good fortune to me. Despite not sleeping and injuring myself repeatedly in small household accidents, I managed to keep working and had myself convinced that I was doing just fine! From not sleeping, my immune system was shot to hell and I contracted a serious respiratory virus which lasted for months and let eventually to a collapsed lung, a cessation of breathing and a diagnosis of lymphoma.
I still like to tell myself that I'm doing fine or at least doing the best that I can but sometimes I really resent the fact that the other seniors in my senior housing complex are doing so much better than me and they are a good 10 years if not more older than I am.

First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Sleep is a key in our health. Now if we can figure it out when we ache, right? My body at least is a barometer. Every low pressure system is eye-watering agony in my deepest tissues.
I hope your lymphoma is remission. My husband earlier this year was diganosed with a very rare blood cancer (or blood marrow cancer, as you prefer), and we were fortunate to catch it when it wasn't yet in "causing trouble mode". I've had to learn a lot about lymphomas and similar.
