So my day went to he'll in a handbasket yesterday afternoon. Went to take something out of the fridge and it was practically room temp, and the fridge was making noise. Long story short, it's dead. Not long after that I started feeling nauseous and getting hellish stomach cramps. It's probably been circling the drain for a couple days and not holding food at a safe temperature, but it wasn't enough to be noticeable. I was up half the night running to the bathroom with food poisoning, and I had to call out of work. Still feeling sick as a dog and honestly would rather be at work. Bf was at the brewery when I texted him so he brought me a lot of ice since he was nearby..obviously I threw out almost everything in the fridge, but the stuff in the freezer was still frozen so I threw ice in there too. I managed to find a new fridge on sale that can be delivered tomorrow, and thankfully PayPal does financing. $50/month for a year isn't ideal at the moment, but it's better than almost $600 up front. And now my fridge will match my oven and dishwasher. I replaced those when I moved here, but the fridge worked fine so I kept it-it's white and the other appliances are stainless steel. I like everything to match, but not to the point where I was going to replace a major appliance that was working. That was 8 years ago so probably a good choice. I don't know how old this fridge actually is. And hopefully the new one is about the same size...I was so frazzled last night I just measured the dimensions and went off that. No idea how many cubic feet it is. But if it's at least close, it'll be fine...I'm only one person. Don't need it to be huge.
On that note, I'm going back to bed. I'll just leave you with a photo of Haco being weird because I think we need something funny and lighthearted

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Miki, sorry about the food poisoning and your fridge not working . I had food poisoning badly years ago , it was awful. My fridge is smaller compared to my past ones and there is plenty of room for one person. Appliances are so expensive. I hope you feel better sooner than later.
I checked in yesterday regarding how the Covid etc situation is going. Last night I was doing stretches in bed for the Costochondritis and afterwards I rolled over and I had a huge dizzy spell. The last thing I need is the vestibular issues to flare up. My head is all fuzzy and weird today . After a month of being sick, I am bored to tears but I don't feel well enough to do anything and dont tolerate doing anything , even the smallest things at home. So yeah , I am feeling sorry for myself and I am depressed. I sat outside on my porch for about 20 minutes last night and I did get some joy from that.
Hi to Leo, Fantod, Blue, Angela, JP, Bec, PuppyMom, I hope I didn't forget anyone.
I’m feeling kind of fuzzy and my ears are ringing like mad. Currently lying down waiting for laundry to finish.
Miki - Food poisoning is horrible. I’ve had a couple of bad bouts of it over the years. Thought I was going to die both times. Having to buy a new fridge sucks. I hope that by the time you read this you are starting to feel better.
