I get a flu shot every year and have no issues with it. I also have not had the flu either.

For children, the elderly and those w/ compromised health flu shots are highly advised. 45,000 people are expected to die this Winter from flu in the USA alone. (Wicked flu strain this year.)

I get flu shots every year now. The shot makes me sort of sick and flare for about 3 days. This year I still caught the flu, but it was comparatively mild - - no fever, went away in a week; better than enduring severe flu w/ no shot.

I believe it depends upon the individuals health conditions. I can not take the flu shot due to my CVID. However, my weekly IV gamma globulin for the CVID gives me better protection than the flu shot. If you see an immunologist or allergist they can give you good advice for your condition.

Flu shot for sure..... Normally I get my flu and pneumonia shots, this year I did not and got incredibly sick twice. I have to wait to shake the cough before I can get my shots now.

I have never had a flu shot. I only get one cold or flu a year, however four others in my home get the shot and get sick several times a year. I miss the least work or school of anyone in my home due to cold or flu. So I think it is dependent on the person, cause I have fibro but I do not get sick with other maladies very often.

I get flu shots. They practically force you though at school. I don't mind though. I don't have a reaction to it and I get the added benefit of having the shot for the "just in case".

I always get the flu shot. The last time I had the flu I also had a horrible fibro flare and it took 3 months before I felt better.

When I was in to see my physician this past October, he asked if I had gotten a flu shot. No, not yet. So he told his nurse to get a shot for me. I asked him if I couldn't wait until November or so (I hate the way I feel for a couple of days after one) and he said with fibro the immune system is compromised and I either take it, or my hubby could call him when I was horribly ill.
Besides, you never know who you are coming in contact with who also has a compromied immune system!
