For the past couple weeks, this kitty (who's friendly, and will often come and say hi/demand pets) has been waiting for me to get back from running. He either sits in the middle of the road or comes running out of the woods. I put food out for him and the other outdoor cats...there's at least 6 that I see often. I don't know if he has a home or not, he's out at all hours year round. He would probably walk right in if I let him.

This is the other friendly outdoor cat...he doesn't quite stalk me, but he'll come say hi if he sees me outside without Miki. Same as the black kitty, I don't know if he has a home, he seems to be out all the time

That's about all I got today...I'm exhausted and would love to crawl back in bed with my indoor kitties. I kinda lucked out today, I'm working in NH for the coworker whose dad is in the hospital, so my commute is much shorter, and the doctor is really efficient and easygoing. I just hope the phone isn't crazy.

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Miki, I already attracted a stray cat here. And given street dogs eat stray cats here... well, he was quite the fighter!
Miki, thanks for doing check-in these days. Feeding 6 strays is a lot and groceries are so expensive today. We feed only 3 on a regular basis and it gets tiring, especially since they are so territorial. We've trapped and neutered 10 cats so far and one young female keeps evading the trap and she keeps having kittens. Anyway, black cats are cool and I've always wanted a black cat. We trapped and fixed one last year whom we named "Lord Kensington" he is the most territorial cat I have ever seen and terrorizes all the street cats in the area. I love Tuxedos the most, though, and Karrick sounds like he is too smart for his own good. Lol
My mom's hospice nurse sent Mom a z pack for her congestion. She has had way too many antibiotics this year and it really screwed up her GI system. After 2 months of fixing it, these antibiotics will screw her up all over again. Sigh!
My husband woke up in the middle of the night with a fever, so chances are, he's caught covid from my mom. He doesn't want to see a doctor or get treated. We are supposed to head to Houston this afternoon to see his old oral surgeon for the failing implant, but it looks like that trip will have to be delayed. I see the orthodontist today to adjust my braces. It is always early as hell and I am not a morning person and I hate it.
On a positive note, we get two holidays:). Sunday is the Marine Corps birthday! And Monday is Veterans Day. I plan on baking a chocolate cake. I want to use almond flour and make the icing with coconut cream. Yummy!
Remember for everything there is a season. And all hardships are only temporary for this too shall pass. Have a great weekend all.
Mom was moved back to rehab today. Transport was almost 3 hours late. We get to the facility and they don’t have the bed we need. It’s an airbed but not the one the hospital specified twice. Not even close. We had no choice but to unload her. I’m furious. And, it’s the weekend so nothing will get done about it until Monday.. I’m really, really annoyed.
Miki - We have a small feral colony. They live under the deck. We put out dry food and they get a bit of wet food every afternoon. They come and go and sometimes hunker down elsewhere.
Blue - I hope that hubby doesn’t have COVID. I remember getting my braces adjusted. Not fun.
Leo - Thank you. It been a crazy day.
