I definitely would. I know massage helps me bunches and having someone that offers a discount to those with fibro kinda says to me they understand the pain and chronic-ness of the condition. Any time a professional is willing to work with you on your limitations its just well a god-send.

Price-wise, I have no idea though sorry. Though I think for people with fibro 30 minute sessions would be better than hour long ones, I'm not sure some of us would be able to tolerate someone working on us for an hour.

A good friend of mine is a masseuse. She charges a dollar a minute to the public. But charges me 1/2 price. I go to her though so she's not using any gas. I agree with Rose a 30 minute massage is all I can take. Thank God for people who are in this profession. You are awesome lady!

Yes, definitely. I treat myself to a massage once a month, either a one hour relaxation massage($50) or 90 minute hot stone massage ($90) which is awesome.

My massage therapist sometimes offers when you purchase an hour, you get a gift certificate for a 1/2 hour massage,value at $30.

I agree that offering a discount helps us tremendously. My dr wrote a script I go twice a week minimum. I wish, I'm lucky if I can can go twice a year my insurace will not cover it. NO WAY NO HOW!!! SO it is totally on me. So infortunately. It ends up with me calling my massaeuse in tears saying can I PLEASE COME IN I CAN"T COME IN I CAN"T MOVE. Me begging for birthday's and mother's day etc.

First session half price or free. I dont know how long a massage lasts 30 minutes? an hour?
There is a place here that does massage for an hour for $100. Is that normal price? I think I would try massage if it was $30 or less.

But if you advertise discounted prices for only people with Fibromyalgia..then a lot of people are going to claim they have fibro to get the cheaper rate.

I have paid anywhere from $40 to $60 for an hour. A good deal for 1 hour to me is $30. That is a good deal... but...worth even more when its done. Did I mention I LOVE IT?!?!?!

here prices are the same about 50 upwards.. I would like to have lymphatic drainage therapy. I would be more inclined to give massage a go if it was at a discount price.

I get massages and know they help so a discount would be awesome.. Price wise right now i pay $35 for an hour and that is very cheap. Most other places charge about $60 for an hour. I think also depends on where you are. we live in a very small town

Around where I live its between $60.00 to $90.00 usually.

I DO want to give a special rate to my Fibro clients as I can TOTALLY relate- plus I hate to hear about all the bad stories they have going to people around town - not being able to walk the next day, feeling like a steam roller ran them over etc...

I think the idea here about half price first visit is a good one... also can give a special rate- there after.
