I would suspect that you might be clenching your teeth while sleeping. You can have a bite splint made to wear at night. It puts your jaw in neutral position and protects your teeth from damage. Take care.

I have pinched nerves in my neck and some of the nerves come up into the teeth. My teeth will hurt sometimes but it's the nerves coming up from the neck. My chiropractor had me start using a head traction device which helps a lot.

I read online that there is a strong correlation between Fibro and gum disease. Unfortunately, I can't remember the reasons, but you should be able to do a search.

It's the most insane thing that you know you knew something just last month and now it's gone...

I've experienced excruciating teeth pain on and off for years. A trick I recently learned is to buy some liquid ibuprofen capsules, cut one open and rub some along your gums. Helps calm down the nerves. Usually teeth pain occurs later in the day and early evening. It can go on for weeks, days or months.

My dentist thinks it 's the gums. However, I have to wait 3 months before I can see a periodontist!! (She's all booked.)

He had me rinsing with an antibiotic mouth rinse, but it doesn't help much...

My teeth feel pain/tenderness when I bite into something (like a hamburger).

I recently had horrible tooth pain.. ached when ate or drank cold or hot food or even breathing in cold air bothered it...... I went to the dentist .. they did xrays.. nothing showed up.. and yet the pain kept coming and going.. Dentist said it was fibro!!.. I went to my Dr and he said did not think it was teeth but immflamation in the nose... when the tooth bothered me my nose felt tender.... My Dr reminded me that fibro is not always the cause of things and people with fibro can have other things go wrong.. so best to get checked out..

I got some cream to put on Q-tip to put in nostril.. so I used that about 2 weeks and the achy tooth is much better..

Receeding gum line can be part of the problems.

Bad news. Very bad news.

While I am waiting to see the periodontist, I was sent to see the facial pain doctor (DDS, not MD), and he said it's fibro.

Almost all the treatments are the same as for fibro--which I had already tried (ie. gabapentin) and could not tolerate the side effects.

The only thing I haven't tried is a compound med (cream) to apply on the teeth/mouth (which contain a tiny amount of gabapentin and lidocaine, among others).

The problem is: no insurance coverage. It's not under dental insurance. Neither would my medical insurance cover it. The cream would costs $100-$300/month. It may not even work.

I'm so depressed now. If I can't eat, I will waste away and die. And please don't say feeding tube. I have seen that used in my relatives and there's really no point in living anymore if I can't even eat...

Do a search on the internet for TMJ as it is a muscle - jaw problem with fibro.
Also, a tooth ache can be caused by nerves going up to the nose. A sinus infection can cause tooth ache.
