Hey everyone. I don't have anything too exciting as far as trivia/information today. I went to bed later than I should have because Noah was sleeping near my feet on the recliner and Nox was in my lap. And they were both just purring and relaxed. So I let them stay like that for a while. I managed to get photos of my sister and I as kids yesterday, but by the time I got home I wasn't feeling like drawing, but I have a month to get those done. I don't draw people often, or ever really, so it'll be interesting. Miki got to visit with my parents dog again so she was happy. Today I'm leaving work early because I have to work tomorrow, I'm going to try to get groceries on the way home and then I'll have to walk Miki. I'm feeling really tired and unmotivated, and it's freezing out this morning and going to rain later so my body is not happy. But I'm gonna post this picture of a couple very happy puppies because it makes me smile

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...

first occupational therapy meeting today
lovely pic,Miki! Hugs! you rock, don;t forget it...
Leo, good luck in therapy!
I basically did nothing yesterday. A little here, a little there. I've been stiff and achy the past couple of days. Need to go pick up my car today and go to the gym. DH is going to go grocery shopping. Need to get split pea soup going this afternoon for tonight's dinner. (That just reminded me to put french bread on the grocery list!)
Hoping everyone has a good day today!
Morning Miki and Leo! Cute picture of the two puppies! It's rainy here today but not bad enough to affect the garage - thank God.
I'm up early because I have a bunch of stuff to do this morning. I'm getting my hair did today which will take a few hours this afternoon. And, then, it is fish fry time.
My BIL went to Cleveland yesterday to be seen by the heart specialists there. They say he has vasovagal syncope which is not serious. The vagal nerve controls your heart muscle function. His is acting up and the severity of his sleep apnea is a big contributing factor. So, he can now drive but still needs a tilt table test which will happen here in town next week. And, he has to be fitted for a cpap pronto. He may need medication but for the moment a pacemaker is off of the table. Big relief....
My partner came home yesterday with yet another car problem. I guess it has decided to throw one big fit. Now one of the coils is bad so we ordered those last night. They will be here tomorrow. He was pretty annoyed last night. He had been considering selling it and getting something else before all of this happened. After all of the work he has to do now and has done, I imagine he may hold onto it for at least the summer.
Ok, have to get on my broom and get some stuff done around here. Shout out to Bear, Maynard, Twin, Blue, AngelaJo, Ida, Autumn, Wonder, and Milily. Miki thanks for starting us off today - you are the best! Leo - I hope PT goes OK.
I will check back later!
The day neil Armstrong was on the moon, I came back from visiting friends on a farm she's brought home a kitty.... didn't ask my parents cuz we had a dog, but she was a free kitty! Buttercup. Get and the dog, Tooker got along great. Remember Morris the cat commercial? That was buttercup. She'd play with Tom the neighbors cat.
Then in my first apt I got another free cat, Champ. Loved him, he was a few years old and really mellow.
Then....I found out after 6 months ofallergies and bronchitis that I ws allergic to Champ! Awwww...
Now I can be around cats, I just can't live with them....
However, since it's been a few decades, I'm thinking genesis it was the kitty litter I was sleeping to?
With the new covered litter pans i wonder...
I miss the purring, dog snores just are not purring! Lol!
Sometimes if I just stay in bed I can get back to sleep, but it didn't happen this morning. I can already feel myself getting that fatigue and a headache coming on. Work is going to suck today and then my evening will suck too because I will be too tired to do anything.
Leo, I can imagine sleep is terribly hard and probably off and on all day and night. I hope today goes good and you aren't overworked.
Painedone, I like split pea soup. Enjoy dinner tonight and I hope the exercise loosens your body up some. I feel like I stay stiff no matter what I do.
Fantod, I'm really glad the garage isn't going to be a problem, but I'm sorry he had to order another part for it. That would have put me in a bad mood too. What a relief for your BIL and family. I'm really glad they have a plan and it doesn't require surgery.
Mrs.Otto, I'm allergic to cats too. Hopefully you can enjoy other animals.
Cobalt, I hate never getting enough sleep. I struggle all day to stay awake at work and then by evening I'm done, my family only see's me at my worst, literally. I hope you find enough energy to get through work today and then have a relaxing evening.
I had to start using an antiseptic spray last night on my arm. It helps with the itching, but man the fumes seem so toxic. I slept better, but still only a little over 4 hours and a very long day at work. I have a lot to do, and I'm trying to keep from not coming in this weekend. My pain continues at a level that seems unbearable to me. On a positive note I met a very nice lady last night in my Breast implant illness group and she doesn't live far from where I work. I think we might try lunch sometime. She has lupus, fibro, and neuropathy, and says her symptoms got 75% better after her explant. I hope to meet her soon, but I haven't been taking lunches because I'm swamped and I want to go home. It may have to wait until after I heal.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Miki I hope you are able to find some time to rest too this afternoon. I am glad Miki has been happy to see your parent's dog. Have a good walk with her today.
Leo I am glad the surgery is over and the healing has started. I hope the therapy works well and you feel better soon.
PainedOne sometimes we need a slow day. I hope you get the shopping done and can relax. I love split pea soup but no one else in my family will touch it.
Fantod isn't it funny (or not so} how once a car starts to have problems it just snowballs? It sounds like this old car is nickel and diming you to death. It sounds like you have a busy day planned. Find time to see the flowers. Enjoy getting your hair done. It is good that your BIL can wait for the pace maker.
I still have a cart of groceries to put away today. I got all the freezer and fridge stuff put up but by the time I got that done I couldn't lift my arms. They aren't much better today but it has to happen. I have no plans for the weekend except going to look at a car. My car is on it's last legs and I need to find a replacement soon.
Hi to all who follow. Have a good enough day.
Hugs to all, I'll try to pop on later to respond.
Miki, I know how it is with those cute, cuddly cats... they have a way of charming us into staying put and putting off whatever it was we need to do. I hope your day goes quickly and you can go to bed early.
Another night of crap sleep... I tossed and turned so much I'm not sure I really slept. Fist of all, my gut is doing well again for a couple days now... which is good, but when that happens, I get hungry in the middle of the night (I forgot what hunger felt like). And second, I kept waking up to find my arms / hands numb, so I'd have to change positions again to allow the feeling to come back.
I hope I'm not getting an ear infection... I felt like I've had water in my ear for a few days and now it throbs. Still haven't heard back about that vertigo test and they said I'd get the results by Friday. My husband starting taking back over his attempt at managing the building plans again and he's already driving people crazy. He told me he talked to the loan officer and the guy asked to speak to me LOL. We're supposed to be getting 2 bids in today from contractors. I can't wait to see them and submit this stuff so we can close soon.
Back in a bit.
Wonder, it sounds like a busy day, I hope the meeting went good and sorry you have to go get groceries.
Autumn, will your doctor not prescribe you fluconazole when they prescribe you antibiotic? They automatically call me one in because they give me yeast infections too. Putting up groceries is the worst. I hope you find a car. I want a mini cooper. They are so super cute, I just can't afford anything for a while. I'm praying my Jeep last a few more years with minimal repairs.
Angela, you've accomplished a lot today. I like doing everything in the morning too so I can relax all afternoon, the relaxation part just never happens. LOL
Leo, I hope the 1st PT went well!
Pained, doing a little here and a little there is SOMETHING in my opinion :)
Fantod, yay for the BIL update. Boo about the car trouble. Enjoy beautifying yourself today :)
Mrs. Otto... that's sad that you can't live with cats. They seem to adopt their humans, not the other way around, yeah? Hershey showed up on our doorstep one day, an emaciated sick kitten, and never left. A few months later she was a fat furball, looked nothing like the terrible state we found her. And last year, she survived cancer... what a tough cookie.
Twins, that sucks about your pain... I really wish it would give you a break. Glad the itching is getting better... but funny that you had to use antiseptic spray.
Autumn, that's how it is when I do laundry... it can take days to get it all put away, and by then it's time to wash another load lol. I hope you find another car soon!
Wonder, I hope your running around isn't too bad today. Hugs
Angela, wow I wish I could get out in the morning and knock out all my things on the to-do list. But I'm lucky if I get out of the house by noon. I hope your feet are up now and you're doing something enjoyable to boost your mood.
I agree that out families seem to get the worst of us.
If you are allergic to cats you may want to research the Bengal breeds. My husband is also allergic to cats but not Bengals. We have two of them and he adores them.
