Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
I have tried to respond to as many of your posts as I possibly can, but when I look for your posts back I am left out in the cold by most. I am sitting here wondering if I said something I shouldn't have or if some here have decided I am not a fit for this group. I hate to complain but I came here for friendship and comfort, to connect with others who understand what I go through. If you don't want me here please just tell me. It would be less hurtful to know. Thank you, AutumnSong.

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

It's not personal. I just can't manage it right now. I'm sorry that you feel left out and ignored. I don't think it was intentional by anyone. We are all having a pretty difficult time right now for one reason or another.
Please give us a chance. This is a great group of people.
Fantod I am sorry that your knee surgery has left you with a lot of pain. My sister had a knee replacement and was in serious pain for a year before it got better so I understand.
AngelaJo I am sorry for your struggles. I am hoping to start to learn more about each person in the group. It is so hard for me as I have severe fibro fog most of the time. I went shopping last week and got lost in a town that I have lived in for over 30 years. It took me 40 minutes to find a place that was familiar. I was terrified. I guess my need to connect is just very strong because I feel like I am losing the battle.
Thank you both for your replies. Blessed be.
I admit that in the past I have, because I was vulnerable, deleted posts because they were at zero comments when I really wanted people to have commented. Or feeling left out when people reply to/thank everyone in the thread except for me. I can relate to what you're feeling and I'm sorry you're going through that.
I personally like seeing any new, active member, so let me say now that I appreciate you being here. I'm afraid we can't promise to be perfect, but I hope this place can be a positive for you, not a place of negative emotions.
Take care, Autumnsong.
Being new is never easy, even with friendly folk. I remember that from when I first started here. All of a sudden you will connect. It will happen. In the meantime just keep showing up and sharing and venting. Take care.
You are welcome here. I think that Sonya says it well. With all have finite energy. I come out and read the comments but sometimes doing have time or energy to answer. This is a great group of people and we're all that much greater with you as a member.
Stick with us, it will get better.
