Morning everyone. It's finally cooled down a little bit and we're not getting rain today! The funeral yesterday was very sad, although the service was nice. There weren't many people there, even with social distancing measures (they had an usher seating people so families were at least 6 ft from each other and every other pew was blocked off). But the people who were there were truly supportive. I felt terrible for K (it was her mother who passed)...she is an only child and has had a lot of big losses recently, and she was very close with her mom so the sudden death was hard on her. Especially after losing one of her sons 2 years ago to an overdose-she even said it's only recently she can really talk about him. I'm really glas I was able to go. After the service my parents had to go straight to the burial, I stayed at their house for a bit with the dogs so they could run around, since they were at the house alone for a good part of the day. I made it home and took a nap then still had some time to relax and get some woodburning done. I also found this site dedicated to fear free veterinary medicine, grooming etc that I'm going to post here-the entire site and all of the content is made and approved by board certified veterinarians and veterinary behaviorists, so this isn't some random blog from some "trainer" that considers themself a miracle for behavior problems. They have a pet owner section as well that's free and has a lot of useful articles and videos on training, exercise, keeping animals calmer during vet visits, etc: you can sign up at fearfreehappyhomes.com They also have a certification program for veterinary professionals, other animal workers (groomers, daycare/boarding) that I'm strongly considering at some point-its not cheap so won't happen right now. It would definitely be helpful both at work and at home. This is one article I found that I liked, specifically it talks about how reactive dogs feed off their owner's stress, but most of the article is applicable to any situation-point is, dogs can absolutely tell what we're feeling, good or bad, and act accordingly. And now I'm off to start my day, the sun isn't even close to up but I plan to have my run completed before it is. Then I have to walk Miki, do laundry, and I have a virtual psychiatrist appointment this afternoon. I also got a couple plants I ordered yesterday so I need to get those planted-only one is going in the ground, the other 2 I'm putting in pots so it won't be too hard on me. I'm glad that you were able to get to the funeral. So many of them are virtual these days or people are holding off on memorial services etc. Thanks for the vet link. Cats definitely feed off of owners stress too during vet visits. Your cats are so pretty! I hope that you have a chance to put your feet up today at some point.
I'm exhausted. I did get the outside freezer cleaned out yesterday. It took me about 2 hours from start to finish to do that. I had it out in the driveway so I could hose out the interior too. What a mess. And then, I cleaned up a couple of other small things out in the garage. Last night, I could hardly walk.
Not sure, what I might do today. I need to go to the bank drive through, get gas and I *might* do a quick trip to Costco. I'll see how I am after I get moving. I may just lie down and stay there for the rest of the day.
My dryer which is 10 years old is acting up a bit. I noticed a couple of damp spots on clothing coming out of it. I was just looking at a repair site to see what I might need to fix it. Looks like a couple of sensors could be going bad. Not an expensive or difficult fix either.
Off I go to figure out how long I can stand and walk. Shoutout to Milily, Wonder, Twin, Ida, Zombie and PainedOne. I will try to check back later.
Fantod dang you sound busy! Hope the day goes well! My moms washer and dryer are over 22 years old and still work well just new (cheap stuff) parts at times.
Well Lisa took me to the bank and walgreens which both i did the drive thru, At the grocery store i needed to go in, gound beef 85/15 was 1.99 a pound!!!!!!!!! Pork steak and ribs 1.29 a pound, ham steaks i got 3 of them for 6.58 even stew meat was on sale! huge deals!! Beef roast i got 2 in the pack for 8 something so i got one in the instant pot on the crock pot setting for tonight :) My pain is very high but at least i only went in one place today! I separated the meat because of Matts hand but he put it away. He also made lunch which i will NOT complain about that. I am drained and i actually slept last night and 10 hours but i got up 4 or 5 times to pee. But i slept finally! Pain needs to go down it dropped over 20 degrees from yesterday and what its been our high is only 46 degrees for today. My body feels the change big time BUT the pain from the statin is almost out of my legs wooohoo just fibro leg pain which i can handle easier i did not even need a cane today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dismal weather continues here. My allergies are bad right now. The rain is making my fibro worse.
I finally had my mammogram yesterday. 7 months late. My chest wall and ribs and chronic costochondritis were already hurting before the test and I have been very painful since the test. I dread bringing in my groceries and putting them away , but appreciate the delivery.
The other day Miki asked about where you would travel if you could . I would travel around the US. There is so much I have not been to in the US. Also would like to go whale watching so much, over by Maine and Canada.
