electric blanket

I believe it was in this group that I asked yall for your opinions on an electric blanket & I got so many great reviews on them....  well it was some time (a month or so since I had asked) well yesterday (11/5/2016) I finally got one....    I just got a throw electric blanket but it works fantastic....  I used it overnight (mind u only slept 5 hrs) but it helped me alot I usually wake up no matter how long Ive slept in alot of pain not only from the fibro but also the osteoarthritis and Im in minimal pain....  which makes me a happy camper....  ty again for all the wonderful opinions....  oh & by the way i only got the throw blanket because Im using it down in my fiances apt & he didnt want the one where it fit the entire bed because hes more hot & i couldnt afford the dual control one so thats why I opted for the throw blanket....

I have used those in the past. Such an "every little thing" measure to help, but oh my what a difference!

Anything that works. I myself am wondering if I should invest in a few boxes of thsoe emergency blankets that look like foil.... using my own body heat to keep me "warm". I'm getting tired of the Blanket War with my hubster. He wants this suffocatingly heavy thing that actually hurts me by its *weight*. I want fluffy things that don't have weight but keep me warm. And the wars continue....

Leo - If you get a Mylar emergency blanket, you will sweat to death but you *will* be warm. Lol

I love electric blankets, heating pads, hot tubs, hot Epsom soaks, warm weather saunas, basically I love heat!!! I've had the sunbeam electric blankets in the past, but they never seem to work the same after I wash them. I'm in the market for a new one now.

I love heat too! I have an electric blanket and an electric shawl. I'll sleep with both of them on when I feel crummy.

Wish I could use electric blankets but they wreck havoc on my rashes :( Even regular blankets do. My comforter is the only thing I can use to have warmth that don't make my rashes worse.
