I have realized that necklaces make my upper back hurt -- within three to five hours, depending on hoe heavy.
I am starting to suspect that earrings make my jaw hurt (unless hey are feather light).
Has anyone else noticed the same? Anyone else want to please test it by wearing a "heavy" necklace or earrings?
Thank you!

I have noticed that even a light jacket with a hood.If the hood is off my head and lying on my shoulders-it drives me nuts.It feels like I'm carrying twenty pounds on my shoulders

Since I had my neck surgery 10 years ago, I have not been able to wear necklaces. With my surgery they went through the front of the neck. I can't wear any thing around my neck, it feels as though I am being choked and that it is pulling my head into my shoulders. I have even had to start wearing my hair shorter, used to be half way down my back, but it feels too heavy. It is irritating, as I do love my jewelry. I am still able to wear rings, but they have to be yellow gold, or they bother me also. Good luck!

I never put the two together. I just know if the jewelry has ANY nickel in it, I will break out in a terrible rash. I am highly allergic. Maybe that might have something to do with the back pain? Just a thought. I don't wear jewelry very often anymore, maybe that is why!! Hugs GB

Hi! I don't like wearing any kid of jewelry, bc my skin is so sensitive to it. I do tho, if going out. I can't wear earrings to long or I get a really bad headache. If i wear a necklace it has to be light or my throat will hurt. I have a watch, but usually take it off soon after, bc it hurts my elbows. I can't wear anything unless its real gold or silver. If its not my ears itch really really bad. I actually hate wearing any tight clothes bc they are so bothersome, but I've got use to it over the years. :)

I'm sorry I can't relate to wearing necklaces. I haven't worn them in years. My problem used to be carrying my purse. I've had to downsize and not wear it on my shoulder. It helped a lot.

If it won't fit in my pockets, it isn't coming with me. Solves the purse issue for me! Or, if needed, I use a light cross-body bag.

I've had to switch to a wristlet and carry only the immediate needs... license, debit card, cell phone, and medicine. I use to enjoy a large purse, but it caused me too much pain. Then I switched to a smaller purse with handles that meant I had to carry it on my arm or in my hand, but that too became too much. The Vera Bradley wristlet is perfect for me now.

Purses are a problem. They are all so heavy! I switched to a Bagallini (I think) that is made of lightweight material. But, I'm still thinking its too heavy.

Right now, my jewelry doesn't bother me too much. I wear light silver chains and earrings and light gold earrings. I wear costume for church, so before the pain hits, it's usually off of me when I arrive home. My problem is bras, girdles, and my beloved Spanx. Anything designed to hold me in hurts! I even find that my heels bother me (and at 4'9" I wear them real high-4 in with a platform). Some days its my knees, other days it's my hips and back. I will be so lost if I have to give up the heels.

Me too! And my wedding ring many days. :(
