With the change of season upon us here in new englandĀ I am facing serious pain again. Have been taking a muscle relaxant every morning for four days just to be able to walk without fear of losing my balance and falling. Not all fibro stuff...neurological stuff mixed in there too. But the pain...it makes me so dumb.
Anyone else frustrated at how the pain leaves your mind too distracted to function properly??? I am feeling alone in this pain. Thanks for any insight...xo

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. You're not alone. We jus t swung from pre-autumn back to Sauna Summer and did it in about 6 hours. Me? Fucntional? People wonder why I follow weather forecasts so closely. I like to know when I'm going to be useless, basically.
Gnetle support. It's nuts how this hits us.
The gentle support of a fellow sufferer does the soul good. Feeling alone in this and knowing I am going to have to pretend to be "ok" today just feels overwhelming...your words will help me get through. xo
Yeah...what is with this sauna summer???????
I've had fibro a long time (since '96). Seems still to be a challenge of acceptance. I have days where despite tizanidine and methadone (my mainstays for everyday pain), I am a vegetable mentally. But there's something rather nice about that: I don't have the energy to be emotional. I simply sit and breathe, about all I can do. Ach, these days don't happen more than twice a month for me.
I've had it with pretending, but if you're at work, well, a different horse. Take care of you. Hang on, hang in there.
Big hugs <3
