My rheumy prescribed Vitamin D and my neuro prescribed Niaspan (which is time released niascin)
In the post on CoQ10, two members tell us that their doctors told them to take CoQ10.
My infectious disease also told me to take that as well as NADH.
But, the point of this post, its been my experience that doctors don't generally like to deal with nonprescription supplements. They might suggest I take a multi-vitamin and ok the boswellia, but that's about it.
Have any of you had supplements suggested by their doctor?

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
the only supplement my primary has perscriped was vitamin D
I haven't heard of CoQ10.
The big push to have everyone supplement "D" seems to be the latest craze. I know several very different people that were give massive doses of "D." With no positive effects. Everyone can't be "D" deficient. And, "D" is actually a hormone, according to my Fibro doctor.
We all need to seek more education about our maladies and the cures thrown at us.
There are so few true experts in the area of Fibro that we can't rely on the doctors to "fix" us.
