You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Good morning friends, I've been on the boards more recently. Probably the weather, the stress, the holidays.
I'm struggling with usual "winter" fibro issues but my biggest issue is my depression. I seem to be in a very black hole. Kind of the kind that you don't want to deal with anymore. And I'm a pretty positive person but right now I can't seem to get there.
Well - the worst part is that it's embarrassing to talk with people I know so................ here I am . I think that the kind people who listen to me including my husband probably don't want to hear this anymore. I even feel bad that my husband has to come home from work and see me with a blanket and my not totally made up dressed self . I feel such shame but I know this isn't all my fault and.... that isn't helping today.
How many days can I be in this pain, nothing working right, dizzy, headache, and on and on state ? I've been here before and maybe that's the problem ..... I've been here many times before. As I know many of you have been as well. :(
So..... I guess I have to be sad, discouraged, embarrassed, and hoping that tomorrow will be a better day.
I am grateful for you all. Warm, gentle hugs.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

How many days.... And yet... I was diagnosed over 25 yearse ago now. And somehow, here I still am. Darned if I know how many days I will be, can be, but I know this:
If I could cure any disease, fibro would be on the top of my list, b/c of the emotional burden the pain brings. It's as bad as the pain, IMO.
Nobody *should* be in this pain, or this state of despair. So I give you puma purrs and hugs.
I've had therapy for years, done work on PTSD due to difficult childhood ( like so many of us ) and have a good understanding of why I have fibro and still....... I get caught.
Caught in wanting to be "normal", pain free, no depression/anxiety, brain fog, etc. Don't want to be a person who has to flake out due to my condition. That's not who I am - I'm not a flake but this fibro brings me to this place more than I would like.
So, I come here - where there is understanding , support and love for each other. I wish that I could erase this word from our vocabulary forever but..... that's not to be.
Leo, because of seeing this post this morning - I will have a better day just knowing that we're all in this together. Thank you.
For all my fibro friends - sending warm gentle hugs and love today !
XO Penni
My depression and fibro get worse in the winter and doesnt start to lift until winter is completely over. No one close to me really gets it , but I know my fibro friends here do. My fibro started 20 years ago and I hate it.
Flystraight1 welcome to this group !!!
