By the way, you can google "Pubmed" and in the advanced search option type in say, fibromyalgia and D-ribose and you can read the scientific studies there.
I tried D-ribose for more energy in muscles. It's used medically for severe heart disease to help the heart muscle function.
I didn't find any significant effect. Maybe, just maybe I felt a little more energy but that could have been placebo (found to be as high as a 30% improvement in most studies).
Have you had any experience with D-ribose (a type of sugar)?

I use a brand called Corvalen which was originally developed for patients with congestive heart failure. I've tried other forms of D-Ribose and don't find them as effective as Corvalen. I do find that I have more energy when I use Corvalen. But, I don't like the backlash after it wears off. I am even more exhausted. You can Google Corvalen and order it online. Take care.

I have used D-ribose and prefer the corvalen brand as well. I use various supplements as part of my fibro management plan and D-ribose was one of them. The only reason that I stopped using it is because I'm on the anti-candida diet and cannot have sugar. I did find it effective in combo with my other supplements
