I'm thankful my 8 month old niece is over her 'stranger' anxiety and we can all hold her again without causing a blood-curdling scream.
I'm thankful that I have medication that helps me get out bed - I used to sit in one place, in a curled-up position, before the doctors found the correct drug mix.
I'm thankful that I tripped over this site and the Fibro board. Sometimes I feel so isolated. I know my family and friends love me but, even with my super-descriptive responses to 'how do you feel,' I don't think they really understand how bad it is.
I'm thankful that my sister-in-law, while pregnant and having the brain sucked out of her my my niece, acknowledged how hard it must be to feel like that all the time; to not remember what you're talking about, or be able to find the right word, or even how to spell.
I'm thankful that my brother (and his wife) are paying for my bankruptcy attorney and do not want to be paid back.
I'm eternally grateful for my dogs - my Yorkie and my Lab. They push me to get up, they make sure they and I get fed and take meds at the right time, and they make me laugh even when I'm supposed to be serious (like when someone has an accident and gives me his paw later when I ask if he's the one responsible for the 'gift').
