This is the piece I finished last night, his name is Rex and I guess he was only supposed to live for a year or so, and he just passed away at 6 years old. I don't know the story behind that or the scarring all over his body, but he was his owner's best friend and the boat was his favorite place <3

I got a little teary eyed when she told me about him too. He's a cattle dog like my dog, and they can be intense and not for the faint of heart, but if you put the time in, you won't find a more loyal dog. I've loved the breed for a while and I'm completely hooked now that I have Miki. There's no doubt in my mind that Rex had an equally strong bond with his dad and my hope is that this piece will remind him of all the great adventures they shared

Miki - That piece is just spectacular! You captured the joy that Rex was feeling in the moment perfectly. His Dad is going to love and treasure this piece!

I'm speechless and I don't even know the dog or the boat, LOL. It's stunning Miki!

How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...
