Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Bruce Campbell, a Stanford psychologist has a marvelous website about pacing in chronic fatigue syndrome (fibro, too). Just google Bruce Campbell self-help.
Having been deconditioned myself after a surprise surgery, it Is extremely tough to get past. Some walking is better than nothing etc. Whatever you can manage is better than nothing. Get a DVD for seniors that is a sit down exercise program. Sit on chair and do what you can and try to build up longer endurance.
Have you discussed this with your doctor? Have you been checked to be sure that nothing else is going on medically? Not everything is the result of Fibromyalgia.
Vitamin B12 with folic acid can be helpful. You need folic acid so the B12 absorbs more completely.
Eating small high protein meals more often is a good tool
If you are using caffeine or chocolate as a prop to keep going - don't. Your blood sugar crashes and it is doubly hard to recover from the crash.
Are you sleeping and taking meds to help you sleep? Most of us need/use meds because Fibromyalgia interrupts the deep sleep cycle with short bursts oh high intensity brain activity. Have you had a sleep study done?
There can be a lot of reasons why you are so fatigued including depression. Please see a doctor and have some blood work done. And, if you feel that depression may be part of the equation get that checked out too. You deserve a better quality of life. Take care.
Vitamin D3 is also another area that we are always low in.
Be wary of Magnesium, if you do take it, take it in the evening as this (even in your daily vitamin) can cause fatigue/sluggish feeling.
Foods can do the same. Keeping a diary intake of what foods you take in and how you feel will help you discover what foods to keep away from.
The others above I agree with on the Co-Q-10, and B-12, and light walking. Even the smallest amount of walking will produce endurance, and that is really the goal. Enough endurance to make it through the day.
As soon as I come up with some money, I want to try some of the vitamins listed on this site. There is a webinar which is interesting and tells us how to reverse some health conditions by detoxing, etc. I would love to try, but I am not sure I can do it without getting sick. I would need childcare and time to really do it. But from what I've read ,B-12 and iodine can help with fatigue. Worth trying, they have a money back guarantee. Let me know if you try.
