So I said I'd check in after the Chicago marathon today, tried earlier and couldn't get on with my phone. The race went great until mile 21, when my quads started spasming. I mean enough that I could see it if I looked at my legs. Had to run/walk the last 5 miles, but I'm stubborn AF, and I made myself finish. My time wasn't good, but overall it was a fun day and I finished in the top third, although just barely. I think the heat was an issue, it was mid 70s but felt more like 80. I'm exhausted and insanely sore...will try to check in tomorrow but no promises. We're going to be doing a couple things, but I'll be moving very slowly.
