I am having chest pains right in between my breasts that come and go every few minutes but are very painful, and also when breathing in I get a sharp pain on the right side of my chest below my collar bone that shoots up my neck.. Also very dizzy. I have called my doctor but he said it probably isn't anything and to stick it out through the night but I am concerned. Any of you experience anything like this?

I don't want to scare you but I know from many stories that women get dismissed all the time. The symptoms for women are MUCH MORE Subtle than men so the article is a good one. Please feel free to email me if you have questions. I hope you get this resolved. Take care, jP
Even if you don't go to ER, you need to have a doctor do an EKG on you to see if you are not getting adequate blood flow. Light headed, dizziness is one sign you are not. Good luck and God Bless.
i would say with any chest pain it's always better to be safe than sorry. if you have to wait it out, at least take an aspirin to help if it is anything cardiac.
when i have a costochondritis flare, i use a warm beanbag on the areas that hurt and it usually gets better within 20 minutes. if it doesn't, i go to the doc. again, 20 minutes can be an eternity if you are having true heart problems, so if you are having severe pains and shortness of breath, please seek medical attention.
Hope you feel much better and don't have any more chest pains!
