I just joined this group because I can't see to get out of my lethargy, don't want to go out, even get dressed or talk to anyone. I just feel so tired and achy. I am going to try now here at almost five p.m. to shower and dress and get to the grocery store. I have a long list and need the milk. No cereal this morning, I just had leftovers for lunch and went back to bed. Is this way it continues?

However, I make a deal with myself. I only let myself have 1 day of pity, but the following day I must be full of action. I get up, shower immediately, do my errands,or chores, etc.
But, that's me! I'm also fighting depression, anxiety and PTSD.
Welcome to the group!
Sorry you are having such a hard time. For me keeping a daily routine and weekly routine as much as possible really helps. And if I feel tired or need a day to stay home, on the couch, or in bed, then I give my self that day but the next day I usually go back to my routine. Example: shower by 9am, breakfast by 9:30, medications at 10am, go to the beach (to swim) 2x a week at 2pm, make a smoothie by 4:30pm, take a walk 3-4x a week by 5pm, Church Sunday and Wed, etc etc.....
I just try to do these things and not really think about it. Try to put my self on auto pilot.
Do you see a rheumatolgist? Or a neurologist? have you tried aqua therapy or any other therapy?
I hope you feel better soon! Keep your chin up! Yes you will have some bad days, but it's temporary, there will be better days, too!
Let yourself rest, do things as you can and not as you think you *shuld*, okay? I get my housework done, it just gets done a bit at a time. I get my exercise in, just a few minutes at a time. And sometimes, when the last thing I want to do is move? I gotta move. It may only be to walk around the house a few times, but it's *something*. Small goals lead to big victories for me. And no, I don't take pain meds. (If only!)
Gentle welcome!
We're glad you're here! You will find a lot of information on here, but more importantly, you will find kindness and encouragement.
You asked if this will continue. It's up and down for most of us. Some days are better than others. On bad pain days I stick close to home and barely get out of the recliner. On days when the pain is not so bad, I do a little here and there, but I make sure to take many rest breaks.
I hope you're feeling better today. Let us know how you are doing, ok?
