Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Also encourage your husbad to read up on fibromyalgia articles everyone once in a while (maybe once a month). As soon as your husband realizes this is a serious chronic condition that, unless some mad scientist finds a cure, you will have to cope with for the rest of your life. And it is up to him to be a good husband and be supportive to your condition (even if he doesn't understand it) which means helping you find ways to manage / control your pain & fatigue.
That could be anything like: going with you every once in a while to your doc appts, helping you feel more comfortable (getting you cushions / pillows when you are in too much pain to move), pulling the car around for you so you don't have to walk very far, letting you get your rest when you need it, ... basically pampering you when you feel like crap.
But dont' nag him about doing things for you. Just tell him straight up what hurts you and what makes you feel better. Men need specific instructions. My husband caught on really fast, thank God, he's a fast learner. lol
And if he isn't very responsive, then don't nag ( as I did :)!
He'll have to deal w it on his own- it's a grieving process for him too.
Not that I personally think that excuses them from those nasty behaviors!
STRESS is the absolute biggest factor in my pain. I suffered for years do to stressful relationships. As soon as I met my fiance it was like night and day. Try your hardest to eliminate stress.
Stay off those diet sodas! Aspartame has 96 possible side effects and is poison to anyone with FM. Stay away from peanuts and all white rice and pastas too.
Look up a disease called Candida. 90% of the people with FM also have Candida. Learn how to control the Candida and you can live with the FM.
I actually found a clinic in Chicago IL that treats Fibromyalgia and my life has been so much better since.
