It is amazing how hard it can be to convince family and friends we have a real problem. Even though my employers and the government agree that I am sick enough to be on permanent disability, I know my father-in-law thinks I am making the whole thing up. Good thing I don't value his opinion.
Good luck coming up with a better treatment plan!
In any case this is a known side effect of Ambien and they should not have given it to you and then let you drive.
I don't mean to scare you but please talk to someone now.
Clearly the sleep clinic does not adhere to these warnings.
I had a horrible reaction to Lyrica. I became paralyzed and the only thing I could do was move my eyes for 3 hrs. Just before my body froze up on me, I was walking into the walls and it was the worst sensation ever. This was after 1 pill.
Because of that experience I'm now deathly afraid to try new meds!
Contact someone like peace shared.
I don't understand why the sleep clinic would give you any medication at all. They are supposed to be observing how you sleep without medication. That's the whole point to having a sleep study done.
I'm not convinced it was just the ambien. I have been taking ambien on & off for over 5 yrs now. Started when I first received my CPAP. It had been 11hrs between taking ambien and the accident. I also took adderall in the morning (which I have been taking for 6weeks) and is a stimulant and it should have kept me awake. And sleeping for four days after, I really don't think I can blame that on ambien.
To me I guess it is just so frustrating, all the parts of my life that this FibroDragon has taken away from me.
I feel like I'm damned if I do, and damned if I don't.
PS...
This was my 4th sleep study. They were testing my pressure, which had to be adjusted by 30%.
PSS....
I take prescribtion strength Vit D3 because my levels were so low. I was on 50,000IU's/week for 3mths and that didn't even bring me up to normal levels.
I have two appt on the 14th. First to get the results from my sleep study. And a few hours later I get to see a neurologist for the first time. Hopefully the neurologist will see something in this mess that everyone else has missed.
Guess I still want my life back.
Damn.. I thought I had accepted this.
OK back to the drawing boards.
Thank you all for all your help.

Bless ya Girl...Thankfully you or anyone else was Not Seriously Injured, and I Agree, perhaps Now they will Talke Notice with you, However this would leave me Fearful to Ever Drive again, and there would go my Independence.
Luckly for me, my daughter & grandbaby have agreed to come down weekly to see me and take me to the grocery store. (Guess I forgot to mention that my hubby is in China right now for his work.)
And a couple of the gals from FibroGroup have offered to take me to dr apts & such.
I truly am blessed.
Thank your for reminding me.
