Morning everyone. Still insanely tired and in a lot of pain. Didn't get home til almost 8pm yesterday and left the house at 6. I got to "sleep in" until 4:30 today and I feel physically ill-shaky and nauseous. One more work day to get through..we only have morning appointments and the other person is covering for someone else so she's leaving at 1. I brought my sketch pad, maybe I can work on those portraits if the phone is slow. Might as well get paid to do it and no one else will be in the office. And maybe I'll feel less overwhelmed when they're done because the other projects I have don't have a time limit. I'm also still feeling very depressed.

89FNo energy, just going to do whatever. Sandra, It's hard to move at a certain time in life. You've been in your home forever, at least you'll be able to travel to the beach and enjoy. Oh, we did hear Boris Johnson's tenure ended due to a series of ethics scandals, accusations of dishonesty and a final collapse of government support that forced his recognation. What he didn't do like the...

My cat is going on trial for crimes against skink-anity. SIX in six weeks. Three this last week alone. The crack is maybe 1/4 inche wide. Maybe. Skink skitters past, her paw shoots out, her claw hooks in, she yanks, and somehow, having defied physics... WHAM. Skink-o-rama.Now, don't get me wrong, it's nice that she's a pesticidal maniac, but OMG. Skinks do no harm. They don't come inside. WTF.So,...

horrible pain here, too, so hugs of solidarity
see my PTSD shrink today oh hurray
now out of my 5 mg oxycodones. At one a day I made them last a week. Now to just tylenol. Doc actually blamed me saying I refused neurontin. I HAD TO IT INTERACTS WITH MY EPILEPSY MEDS. argh.
okay TGIFRIDAY aall!
Leo, I'm at a point (again) where I just think doctors suck! I know they are caught up with the new legislation on pain meds, but when pain really gets bad, OTC stuff just doesn't do the job!
Bear, we're supposed to get some bad rain here this weekend as well.
Today is a gym day. My right buttock is really painful and I don't know why. I'm just going to try to do at least 15 minutes on the treadmill again today. I need to move the time up again, but I'm aching once I hit that mark. Should I push myself or not? That is the question that runs through my mind.
DH was right that it wasn't time to change the sheets yet. It got cool here last night and we're supposed to have a couple more cool days with rain. Not what we wanted weather-wise as it will put a couple of our bigger projects on the rental off for another week or so.
Time to fold some laundry and get another load ready to go. Have a great day everyone!
Miki, our boys have been talking about black holes a lot lately here too. We even got into the topic of what it looks like inside of them. LOL, I giggle...and shared, duh....nothing...it's all black in there.
And this folks, is why I never made it into MIT. (I'll let you do your own rimshot).
Hope your day does remain quiet and you start to feel better as your body catches up on your schedule today. I loved working 5-1 shift, I mentally woke up around 10am, so I only had a couple hours left and I was done.
Leo, I swear, doctors are just jerkwads...but I suppose in many cases, their malpractice insurance companies make them into jerkwads. I just watched a news piece on how pain patients are falling through the cracks with this huge opioid movement the FDA is crusading.
May the tylenol be enough today.
Mr Bear Sir! I'm sorry the forecast is wet for you, as I know that often brings pain. Yesterday, we go Snow, Sleet, Hail, Grauple, Freezing Rain, ThunderSnow, and Snirt (that is dirt carried up into a snow storm and relocated)....this time it was from Texas!
So, does that make me a Texan now that I've been pixie dusted with their dirt?
Today, we have the electrician coming out. My hubs "purchased" a video cam to install on our garage. And well, I let him run with it. I thought it was gonna be some little cam...NOPE...it's T-REX sized. You know, the kind you see outside of a gas station? Little black globe thingys.....yah.
And I have to take the blame here, I said I wanted a camera. I said, okay when he said 30x zoom. My head was foggy, I was thinking...oh, so it's its like my camera lens.....silly girl!
Anyways, the electrician is coming later. I have groceries to order. And I need to call in Sarge's sildenafil rx. Then get the house ready as my niece turns 21 tomorrow. We're all going out to dinner and then back here for cake.
I sure hope everyone has a good Friday today. Hugs to all of you!
Leo, I really feel for you. I still can't believe you broke your arm. Gentle hugs and showers of chocolate.
Hi Bear, sorry for your troubles. I'm praying for you.
Painedone, I hate when I get a pretty bad pain that seems to come out of nowhere. I hope you can walk for 15 minutes. I always push myself more than I should though. Hugs
Good morning, another busy day at work. My legs are hurting so bad. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow for us so that means I need to run an errand today at lunch and then groceries after Church on Sunday. That means all of my cleaning and prepping will need to be tomorrow. I only have 2 weekends to do floors and clean many other areas in our house. I'm already feeling defeated and the weekend hasn't started.
Wonder, that camera sounds awesome. I want one. :-)
Sounds like most of us are having a rainy weekend ahead. I am still feeling very sore from the 12 injections and each keystroke is sending shooting pain up the fingers on my left hand. Fun stuff given that my job is typing all day. I am lucky in that my boss is wfh today as is half of my team so it is a quieter calmer day here. Trying really hard to find the joy when and where I can as I keep fighting with the IBS and this flare-up.
Leo I'm sorry you are still in so much pain and the doctor is being ridiculous about the meds. Heaven forbid you not want to take a med that might give you interactions. Sending gentle hugs your way.
Keep hanging in there Bear, we are all praying for you and your recovery. Have they let you go home yet?
Pained one have you tried any (really light-weight) strength training at the gym? Studies are showing that strength training is helpful in people with fibro for dealing with the pain. I hope that your trip today is a good one.
Wonder it sounds like you have a full plate today! I hope that you are able to get what you need done without over-doing-it. Also, the camera story is just too funny; it sounds like something my husband would do.
Sending out hugs and happy Friday chocolates to Fantod, Blue, Twin and our whole gang.
Oh, and I got a late night text message from my cousin in New Zealand that his sister had passed. It was expected but nonetheless... The family has had a rough year as they had another loss a couple of months ago. I may Skype him over the weekend to chat.
Miki - I join you in the insanely tired ranks. We had rain here last night too. Not helping. I hope that the phones are quiet so you can focus on your drawing and nothing else. Thanks for posting on the black hole. I read about it the other day and was really fascinated.
Leo - I have a list on the computer of stuff that I can't take which I print out and hand over at each and every appointment. Medical professionals just don't listen or read your chart. There is no reason you can't have another script of oxy for another week other than that this doctor is an sadistic idiot. Especially since you made the last script last a week. You'd probably do better at PT with another week of Oxy too. I'm sorry that you have to put up with this. I hope that your appointment today is ok and that you can get some rest. Hugs!
Hi Bear - Nice to see you this morning! I hope that things are improving even a little bit! Hugs!
PainedOne - Good for you going to the gym! Remember that anything is better than nothing. If you can't push through the 15 minute mark that is OK. Trying is what counts. I have a bunch of laundry today too.
Hi Wonder - Sounds like Hubby went a little crazy with this camera but these days it is probably not a bad idea. It sounds like you have a busy day as usual. Pace and everything will some how come together.
Hi Twin - I hope that you can manage to get through everything on your list. I always really push the envelope before surgery to make sure that things are done the way I want them. I get it. Just try to pace where you can. If something falls through the cracks, let it go. It will be there when you are feeling better. I hope that your day at the office is over in a flash. Hugs!
Maynard - I've had trigger point injections. I don't even know how you are going to work. Glad that your boss is wfh so things are a bit quieter. I hope that you are done and out of there before you know it. Hugs!
Off to hose the laundry down with goo gone and stain remover so I can start the first load of His Nibs clothes. Getting grease out of his clothes from the fryers and God knows what else is a constant battle. He uses alien stain technology to thwart me.... Fish fry later if I survive that long...
Shout out to Autumn, Milily, AngelaJo, and Blue!
Miki, thanks for sharing the picture of the black hole, what a cool discovery. I'm not able to keep up with the news at all, so I wasn't even aware. My husband, the chemistry lecturer, said some of his brightest students are usually women. What a long week for you, yeah? I hope work is slow now and you get to go home soon and rest.
I'm up early for labs and fasting, too. I actually got up in the middle of the night and ate a bowl of cereal so that I wouldn't be passing out like last time. My low blood sugar doesn't do well with fasting.
I feel like I ran several marathons. My legs ached after riding the horse (it was fun, though) and then went straight to the property, walked up and down the 3 acres to show the contractor around. Then went to the grocery store. And I was still catching up with homework when I got home, plus had a huge pile of dishes to wash from the previous day, and cook dinner, too.
We have a problem with the water issue again... and the contractor can't find where it accesses the property and won't submit building plans without guaranteed water... which means we can't close on the construction loan. I'm so frustrated with this water problem. Hubby made an emergency appointment with a real estate attorney this morning (while I'll be at labs). *bangs head against wall*
It's Friday and I'm not caught up with my paper or homework. So I'll have to do what I can before I leave this morning.
Leo, I'd like to smack your doc!
Bear, glad to hear that you're hanging in there!!
Pained, I would push when you are feeling better. Listen to your body... pushing when you're in pain will cause more pain and can trigger a flare.
Wonder, I'm laughing about that huge camera lol. I would like one for this cottage and all the weirdos that walk past our windows, hang around, etc.
Twins, I'd have hubby do the floors. I hope he is doing SOMETHING to help you!! Argh. Sending chocolate cupcakes your way.
Maynard, yeah those botox shots I get in my neck and shoulder area can hurt for about a week. But then the fibro pain calms down which is what I need them for. I hope your pain comes down, too, and your fingers are better soon.
Fantod, sorry about the alarm clock cat and OUCH re your back. What does your doctor say about it? Thanks for the shoutout.
Hi, to Autumn, Milily, Ida, Angela, and anyone I missed. I probably won't have time to get back on. I hope everyone has a low pain weekend.

I hope that you guys get the water issue straightened out and that your labs go OK. Hugs!
Blue, it sounds like you had a heck of a day yesterday and now have another one today. The water situation really is ridiculous, I've always loved the idea of getting property and building my own house but your experience makes me think twice. I hope your blood work goes well and that hubby makes headway with the attorney.
Sunny here but another windy day . I am getting tired of these windy days.
Saw my Dr for my hip and leg pain. He barely looked at me or talked to me and just said you need to see an orthopedic Dr - no xrays or other imaging either. So, I waited all this time for something I could of done myself. Next time I will listen to myself and just skip the middle man and call the ortho myself.
I was in severe pain when I got home (Dr is 45 minutes away) and all night and today is not great either.
Miki - I like all the pics you share of your fur babies. I will have to read more re the black hole. I hope you can take some time for rest/relaxation this weekend.
Leo - It just sickens me that your pain is not being treated properly. Since when is Neurotin prescribed for acute pain and post surgical pain? The dosage is supposed to be tapered up slowly when starting it.
I will be back
