I threw out my back two and a half weeks ago. I had Tylenol 4 on hand, so I had some pain meds to get to the bathroom & kitchen. After almost two weeks I made it across the street to the Urgent Care and they gave me a prescription for Valium. Making some super slow progress. I live alone with no nearby family or even friends I can ask for help. My PCP is 100 miles away. I don’t even know what kind of doc I should go to. I keep imagining getting someone to come and do ultrasound, heat or some kind of light massage, which of course I can’t afford or I doubt out in the sticks could find. I’ve been to PT in the past, but they are not that great. Doctor Google says not doing exercise until better. Bath feels good while I’m in it, awful getting out.
I’m definitely losing patience. If anyone has any ideas, I’d certainly be happy to hear of them. Thanks.

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...

... observed a solar eclipse.

Oh, I didn't get an xray. The NP and I agreed it didn't seem like it could be a break, since I only felt a slight pop at the time on the side of my back (close to the spine. But the spasm didn't get bad until the next day. Unless the spasm pulled things out of place.... The problem is I already have neuropathy in my legs, so that doesn't help much. But thanks for your thoughts and purrs.
