I have a stash of Celebrex that I take when I get really bad.
I ended up going to a rheumatologist for a separate matter, and he had me get a CRP (C-reactive protein) blood test. The test is designed to show inflammation levels. That test showed that I had higher than normal inflammation.
That test made all of the difference in the world.
I finally had a lab value that a doctor could look at that corresponded to how I felt. When I tried different medicines, my doctor could tell whether they were working or not. I'm finally on medicine that helps.
I noticed you mentioned that your doctor said you don't have arthritis by looking at your joints, and that's true for me too.
My doctor is not able to put a diagnosis to this, but at least I'm getting relief.
I would highly recommend to anyone who has fibro and has noticed that anti-inflammatory medicine helps to ask their doctor for a CRP blood test. Rheumatologists know how to help people who have this condition.
I wish you good luck.
