I used to own my own house keeping business but I have been unable to work for 2 years. If I work like I did even for one day I'm in such bad pain. In and out of doctor after doctor for 2 years also. How has fibromyalgia effected what you can do for work?

I can not work. I've been disabled since 2008 and receive SSDI.

I was at a point about 10 years ago that I thought I was going to have to go on disability. My mom got me into acupuncture for a year and he found that I had a gluten sensitivity. After a year of acupuncture and changing the way I eat with no gluten and very little processed food, I'm doing better. I get more exercise now and I have a new job that isn't as demanding. I think it takes time to find what works for you and hopefully you can find a way to keep working or doing things that are fulfilling.

I am currently on medical leave and short term disability from my job. It has already been extended once. Lyrica worked wonderfully for 3 months and then it was like I wasn't taking it anymore. New pains, more diagnoses and more meds. Not sure when or if I will be able to return to that job. Standing and walking on concrete floors while bending, squatting, twisting, and turning for 10 hours won't help fibro, neuropthy (from back to toes), mps, runners knees, and plantar fasciitis. Time to start thinking about the next chapter of employment for me, if there is to be one.

Yeah it's hard igb1o72 I have pstd and can't be around other people. That's why I had my own business so I could work and just be around me. But my body can't do it no more.
