Hiya, hope this makes sense
I know a lot of us have a over sensitivity to smells, but can this actually affect you physically, for two weekends in a row I have experienced a severe worsening of symptoms after staying overnight at my boyfriend s house, especially pain fatigue and dry sore eyes.
, I am aware of smells at his house such as a damp ike smell on wash cloths and towells which he can't notice, I now he's not overley carefully on what he wahses with what etc, in have been staying there every weekend for many months now and I never had this before so I don't think it's something within the house itself, and there has been no change in my activity levels
I know it sounds a strange one but its been taking me a few days to get back to normal once I've returned home I know I'm so carefull in my house with smells, maybe I'm just overly sensitive
Any ideas
Thanks

Well, our drought isn't broken but our gutter is. Got two big storms rigth after each other and, wait for it, a tornado warning. Now, I was already running for my go-bag when I heard thunder. The air felt wrong. The sky was getting a color to the west. Been there, lived that, time to hide.No funnel touched down but the radar indicated rotation, and boy was it visible from the ground. My cat is going on trial for crimes against skink-anity. SIX in six weeks. Three this last week alone. The crack is maybe 1/4 inche wide. Maybe. Skink skitters past, her paw shoots out, her claw hooks in, she yanks, and somehow, having defied physics... WHAM. Skink-o-rama.Now, don't get me wrong, it's nice that she's a pesticidal maniac, but OMG. Skinks do no harm. They don't come inside. WTF.So,...

Many of us have chemical sensitivities. I am affected by gasoline fumes and cigarette smoke (to name a few). My reaction is immediate and physical.. It is definitely a fibro trigger for me.
Talk it over with your dr and your boyfriend. Identify your triggers and see what changes you and your boyfriend can come up with. Btw, I won't use a moldy towel. Perhaps you can bring your own towels from home along with some of your own toiletries when you visits him.

I'd ask nicely if he would consider washing his towels prior to your arrival. If not, bring your own.
I hope that you feel better. Take care.
This probably sounds silly, but I was actually allergic to one of my Exes. Yep.
