My wife and my 75 yr old mother haven’t spoken for 5 yrs. I don’t think they even know why any more . It’s affecting my life in a negative way and I don’t know what to do. Birthdays , Christmas .. any family gathering has turned into a nightmare.

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...
Your wife and your mother don't love each other so this is no big deal for either of them..... They can just not care for each other and go on their way.... You love each of them and this is really distressing for you
I would tell them how devastating this has become for you..... Gentle hug.... Life is truly short..... I have lost both of my parents so I hear you and I would try very hard to get each of them to hear you as well
They don't have to love each other.... Just be polite and civilized for your sake
