Wife and mother not speaking

My wife and my 75 yr old mother haven’t spoken for 5 yrs. I don’t think they even know why any more . It’s affecting my life in a negative way and I don’t know what to do. Birthdays , Christmas .. any family gathering has turned into a nightmare.

That's tough. Too bad they can't just hung and get along for the sake of them loving you. Do you know what started it?

Have you ever said to them what you've written here??.... I would be really forthright about the 'nightmare' that this is for you

Your wife and your mother don't love each other so this is no big deal for either of them..... They can just not care for each other and go on their way.... You love each of them and this is really distressing for you

I would tell them how devastating this has become for you..... Gentle hug.... Life is truly short..... I have lost both of my parents so I hear you and I would try very hard to get each of them to hear you as well

They don't have to love each other.... Just be polite and civilized for your sake

This 'ignoring' is passive/aggressive and childish ..... xo
