Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. Whether you feel you are in a dysfunctional family or you're dealing with a very specific issue, this is the place to talk about it and find others who might be going through the same thing.
I have a question. And it deals with people. I know this is a family issues forum, but I didn't see anything else out there that might be helpful. I'm going to pose this as a hypothetical situation. It is dealing with someone who has chosen to call herself my "friend".
You've known someone for 10 almost 11 years. They call you "friend".
You have a disagreement, mainly from mis communication. It is not a big disagreement or argument, nothing big enough to end your "friendship" apparently because they call and talk to you and everything seems "normal". Anytime this "friend" has needed help you have always been there for them if you at all possibly could be. A week or two later you sorta ask for help. No your not dying or stranded or anything life changing, you just could really use the help.
You know if the shoe were on the other foot and this said "friend" asked you for help, disagreement/argument or not you would help them if you could.
You get basically told "I won't/can't help you til you apologize." Am I being off in thinking that this person is not exactly a "friend"? Is with holding help being a bad friend or am I not hitting on all cylinders?

Not to say that she's right ... but certainly to say that if she's asking to 'clear the air' then ... whay not?
