I dont love my brother

To set this up, I'm the oldest of three siblings. My sister and I get along fine, and I care for her. My little brother came along when I was nine, and I have never felt anything for him. Especially in recent times. He drives me up the wall, he back mouths and insults everyone while getting away with it. He makes non stop noise and hits people. My mom has tried to discipline him, but my dad wont let anyone. I dont hate anyone, but I dont love my brother. I couldn't care less almost. He makes me so angry and if I had any less self control I fear I'd hit him. I dont know what to do, and lowkey hate myself for feeling this way towards him, but sometimes I wish he'd never been born.

I bad a similar situation. I only have my brother but many times wish
he had not been born. I was also 9 when my brother was born. I loved
babies and still do. I loved him until he was about 13 and his personality disorder started showing. It was my mother that wouldn't a low my father
to discipline him. She started trying when he was 10 but it was too late.
He has excessive anger. Verbally abused my parents when he got in his 20 s.
After like he was in charge of their life. And threw stuff including chairs when
he got older. I don't love him anymore.

Children need to know right from wrong however this is your parents fault.... They need to get on the same page for your brothers' sake.... This will cripple him

Children are taught right from wrong..... This would be so difficult for the whole family.... Big hug....xo

Has anyone tried getting a brain scan and analysis on him? Check out info by a Dr. Amen. Often times head trauma can cause a personality change like this. Especially if he played soccer or football or hit his head at some point.

It sounds like your parents, or at least your dad, think your younger brother is just fine how he is. On one hand, it is easy to feel sorry for someone who needs help and more guidance (discipline) and on the other hand, blame them for not doing better. He is being harmed by your parents not helping him to learn to live a functional life and them creating an imbalance in the family. You are angry at him, but are you also angry at your parents? Would it be possible to have a talk with perhaps your dad and say how this lack of discipline or lack of getting brother help is harming brother and destroying the family? I know a family where the parents basically pitted all the many kids against each other to gain even a smidgeon of love due the parents lacking the ability to give love. They have spent years blaming each other for their own problems. The kids are all grown up, grandparents age now, and they all hate each other and still work to control and create problems within the sibling group. Four of the five siblings have unhappy lives and only one has come into a better life through therapy. Sometimes all we can do is keep our focus on improving ourselves, growing up and maturing, and then moving forward.
