Please explain to me what the focus of this website is, because I am a bit confused.
It is my understanding that his forum is for people of all backgrounds, experiences, and situations to come together and gain support from each other, to share whatever they feel is needed to say, and to help others in someway. Am I correct in my belief???
I ask because I have been a member of this forum since 2011. Over the years, I have seen this forum steadily go from being a very good source for support and help, to being one of a clique where unless you are part of the clique then you and your issues are not wanted and pretty much ignored.
There was a time, several years ago where I felt it was okay to be here, and I was free to post and respond to threads. However, over the last two years I see an increasing change. Many times, as soon as I post something on a thread the conversation just stops, as if I ruined it for everyone because I dared to participate i the conversation. Likewise, what threads I do post here, which are not many anymore, I receive extremely little responses, whether it is sharing my personal thoughts, citing an article published on the Internet, or anything else.
So, I am really getting the felling more and more that folks on this forum would prefer that I leave or at least that I not participate in things. If that is the case, then by all means please let me know and I will leave.
