Every time I hear about a registered citizen relocating to FL i always think they must not have done their research
California RSOL has a spreadsheet with the registration and residency law data for all 50 states and it is pretty up to date.
Arizona actually has one of the fewest restrictions of any state. You need to read the laws here.
First of all there are absolutely NO "presence" restrictions (that is once you are off-paper) here in Arizona.
You are not banned from being anywhere.
Secondly, the only time "residency" restrictions apply to S.O.'s here are when the registrant is a Level 3 AND has a "dangerous crime against children" charge. Those are reserved for the worst of the worst.
Arizona Law forbids individual cities from enacting their own residence restrictions that are greater then the state law. So it is not like California where all the cities have their own laws. (Which are pretty much being struck down now anyway.)
Thirdly, the "Public" registry is reserved for only Level 2's and Level 3's. Level 1's are not publicly known.
Fourthly, you are NOT required to "keep" checking in annually for the registration here. Once you are registered to your address, you are not required to re-register unless you move.
Hope that helps.
According to the list Once posted the law about restrictions in FL was enacted in 2012 - does that mean that it does not apply to my son becasue he was adjudicated in 2010? I know he would still have to follow the local laws in any case. The other questions is does this mean that these living restrictions etc. for SOs are part of the FL Constitution? I ask becasue in CA where some restrictions were overturned by the court it was becasue they were local laws not included in the Constitution (I think that is the way it worked?)
