I never looked at it either. My son has been in the news (truly horrible-- I hate those cruel predators--the media) and is on the list but still incarcerated. He will come home when he gets out, and it's horrible and scary to think that not only will be on there forever, but our home will be listed for any crazies to find. I hate that. My heart is with you.

Is this person an early evening host on HLN? I turned HLN on at 5:00 (CT) earlier today and this is what he was harping on for a half hour. I found myself getting angry, because this just fans the fires of society and everyone thinks the accused is guilty! I do, based on the media hype. Society is so impressionable about what the media reports, and SEX SELLS! And this story is more proof that this crime goes unreported because it causes so much upheavel in EVERYONE'S life that just the thought makes adults go into denial. This is NOT an isolated incident, it goes on 24/7, so I wish the media would move on.

i really feel your pain and i'm so sorry you are going through this. my father-in-law has been charged with window peeping - he was standing in his own bathroom, which has frosted glass on the window up to his chin mind you, looking out the window, and the neighbor accused him of looking at her 12 year old daughter while she changed WITH HER FUCKING SHADES OPEN. so. now it's all over the papers, and i'm pretty sure it's going to go to trial (the hearing is in january), and it's ALL over the papers, because he's one of the most well-known pediatricians in my husband's hometown. but it doesn't matter if he's guilty, and i totally agree with you, peekachu - the media is sickening.

anyway, this is just to say, WorriedSick, that despite all that, our family is still getting (some) support. so there may be people out there who, even if they find out, don't act like horrible monsters. and, if this makes you feel any better, i've never even thought about looking at the registry. so i doubt that it will allow a ton of people to find out.

i will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Missingmarmee - Wow, that is crazy! I haven't heard of someone getting charged for window peeping. It isn't like he was peeking in their windows. He was in his own house! Crazy! Maybe they figure he has money and they can get some......

I guess a person has to be careful of what they are looking at now days.....
