Reggie, in your case, I would say, "Do you have a problem with a young man making a stupid mistake?" There is no need to say anything else. The more you try to explain the situation, the worse it will get for you. Just one declarative sentence will do nicely.

If you have not seen this piece on television you should all have a look. It truly shows how a sex offender is punished for the rest of there lives. Totally unfair but the reality of the current laws I am afraid.

I just block the posts on FB like this. they do bother me but I also realize some people will not listen no matter what you say. They spout the freedom of speech - had to block two someone posted this evening not related to SO that were extremely disturbing - they do not stop to think before they post. Nor do most care. Few know of my husbands circumstances. All, we can do is talk to those that know what we are going through and try our best to ignore the others.

I wonder how diligent FB is about RSO's being on there or if nobody reports them do they even know.

I am not on FB and never will be. I don't have the time nor desire. Everything I have heard drives me away. Many have said I am anti-social because of this. I tell them that I am selectively social. I agree with Coastie. Call or email me with information. The rest of the world can get it on their own.

I very seriously doubt that they even have a clue.

The only RFSOs that I know of who were tossed off FB were reported by someone who knew. FB only cares about their stock price.

I know this is a topic regarding Facebook, however, did you hear of how SO's are being denied access to places like Disney? Yes......a man took his wife and 3 kids.....when they scanned his drivers license they denied him entry to the park because he was on the registry. Disney claims this is to protect the guests of the park. They scan your ID / License now and if it comes back registrant your banned. Other parks are pondering the same idea.........soon Six Flags, Sea World will be off limits.

Buy the tickets on line. No license scan. They will match a finger print to the ticket at the gate that stays in their internal system if you want to leave and return to the park.
Now, if you are a Florida resident and want the resident discount, that is a different story. You do have to produce ID showing you are a Florida resident. That is what happened, I am assuming.
I personally would not go to Disney parks.

Disney uses facial recognition technology. Hell even people with smart phones and change can use facial recognition.

I personally refuse to go anyplace that I am not welcome and spread nasty rumors about people and places that try to ban me or my family based on my decades old crime.

I don't play nice with vigilantes, bullies or folks that want to harm me, my family or other registered citizens and subscribe to coasties thinking and OnceFallens. Being polite with evil bullies just doesn't work!

Actually a hat and sunglasses wouldn't work! Disney did such a good job on multiple facial points that our military uses some of Disney's facial recognition technology. I learned this because I have heard of people being kicked out of Disney World just from cameras that see faces. The more exact focal points it can match the easier it is to match a face.

Disney requires ID and can detect fake id's also now. They purposely search for only sex offenders. No other crime concerns them.

My daughter just went o Disney. They never asked for her ID when she bought her tickets on line. They do use these weird RFID bands now. You wear them and they track you that way.
As for the hat, it has a wide brim and I tend to wear it low on my forehead. It obscures the distance between my hairline and the bridge of my nose. My sunglasses obscure the distance between my eyes. I also alternate between a goatee and a full beard that screws up my jawline length. I do none of this intentionally to beat facial software. But, it obscures enough points to make it difficult.

This can be a new business. Adult only shopping mall, adult only private parks/trails, and adult only swimming pool, adult only theme parks, adult only hotels, so only nursing home, and so only hospitals!!!!!!! As more and more young adults get trap into this, we can probably open our own territory.
