My husband was charged with 5 federal CP charges 65 days ago. He is in federal holding center. Yesterday three separate friends of ours called me because a detective and an FBI agent came to all their homes. They asked if they knew me and my husband and when they had last seen my husband and how long they knew us and if they had minor children during 2012-2015. Then they asked if they ever left their children alone with my husband and if my husband ever photographed them and then they asked them to give them photos of all of their minor children so they could compare them to a database to determine if their children's pictures were being transported to pedophiles all over the world in various countries via the Internet. All three families called me right away and they told detective and FBI that they were not concerned in the slightest about that and that our families had known each other for a decade or more and they were not going to submit their children's photos because it was unnecessary. I am not sure what to do I am frightened and don't know why they are investing energy like this that is unnecessary. Now I fear they will come up with some way to charge me as leverage with my husband to get him to take whatever punishment they dish out. I know nothing about my husbands case but I don't think LE cares at this point. I'm very anxious and have prayed for the last two hours with no peace. I apologized to our friends and they said we had nothing to apologize for and those visits were just a ridiculous waste of time on their parts. Please God...give me something positive to hold onto..I'm sinking quickly.

Many times during an investigation law enforcement will do subtle things to intimidate future possible witnesses. That is one of the purposes here in Psalm's case.

In my case, the DA and my defense attorney exchanged witness lists before trial along with a one or two sentence description of what their testimony would cover.

The witness list had no sooner been exchanged, when I had people on the list call me on the phone. The DAs investigator had personally contact each of my witnesses included on the list. He showed up at their house, but in a couple of instances, he went to their workplace.

First, he demanded to know their social security number so "he could run a background check" on them. Next, he demanded to know what their full testimony would be and he proceeded to question them all about me for about 30 minutes in each case.

My witnesses were very upset, but it did stop a couple of them from wanting anything to do with the case.

My attorney then called the DA and he said he saw nothing wrong with what the investigator did regarding my potential witnesses. The judge did not seem to care either.

Law enforcement plays a lot of under the table games and they get away with it.

Yeah Rew had a terrible attorney. Any attorney worth their salt would've prepared the witnesses for the DA coming to see them and would have told them to tell the DA to pound sand.

The reason LE says that people are guilty if they envoke their rights is pure psychological warfare. Nothing more, they are not judge, they are not jury and they are NOT attorneys. When you are convicted you are not convicted by LE you are convicted by the legal system, which doesn't operate on truth and justice, just what you can PROVE.

Also the reason they are so salty and saying just untrue things... YOU just cock blocked their attempt to get a confession out of you... No one likes to be cock blocked... LOL

My husbands defender told me it was how the feds operate. They are looking for victims and trying to broaden the scope of their investigation by broadly reaching out to people who's contact info was in your computer. She told me to NOT advise any of our friends what to say because I could get in trouble for obstructing the investigation. She told me to tell them what their rights were and that's it. She said nobody should be hostile because if they want the photos they will subpoena them or come with a search warrant. All my friends are fine with their visits and they have nothing to offer because there are no victims. My husband didn't victimize anyone or take any sexually explicit photos so my friends are kind of glad that LE will have to do some leg work to get photos and then the real joke is there are none. There are our tax dollars at work.
