Spiritual Christians do not have the (judgment) against those incarcerated. Immature people do and hopefully they will change with time. As loving informed people, just love your neighbor, being angry and name calling does nothing to change a person's mind. Even out west, I told everyone who would listen, about the sex offender laws and how it is destroying families with long sentences and sending young men away for long periods of time. Everyone said they same thing, I never knew. Keep writing your congressmen and judges...
I have voted Democrat since I was 18. Now, I'm a progressive libertarian democratic socialist. I fit into no category. I am against the Government intervening in the following ways: what I do in my home, what I do in my bedroom, how I practice my faith, and stripping us of our rights. I will vote, but, as it stands right now, I'm too scared in this bible belt red state to ask candidates running for prosecuting attorneys and circuit judge and supreme court judge and our legislative candidates where they stand on prison reform and most notably sex offender reforms-especially for non violent CP possession convicts. If I were to do that, and really grill them on the subject, I could very well lose my livelihood. Now, This seems selfish, but, when you live in a fascist state and you have a spouse serving time for CP, it's a matter of self preservation and survival, for both me and my husband. I don't want to make things more difficult for him behind bars.
As it stands right now, I have absolutely no desire to vote for anybody that will be running for Prosecuting Attorney, Circuit Judge, or Appellate/Supreme Court Judges.
I'm curious to find out where the Democratic Candidates stand on sex offender reforms as well as prison reform. It seems that Bernie Sanders might be the most receptive to talk about these issues as he has a history of just telling it like it is.
Yes, I'm a bible belt southerner that doesn't want to vote against my own self interests.
So, what is one to do?
