My dad was told today the company he works for will being doing background checks because of a new ceo. Im so scared he will get fired. He wont be able to pay his lawyer or food or anything. I have no idea what could do.

Unfortunately the financial burden of these laws and the affect they have on ones ability to make decent money are one of the main handicaps caused by these situations.

if he goes to trial then jail or prison? not only will he lose years of life on the outside? but either way he will still have to register.

i sure would look for any miracle to pop up... the days of innocent until proven guilty are long gone! and where sex offender cases are concerned? i don't think the courts ever think "innocent"!

He talked to his boss today. He wants my dad to email HR his side of the story and the company will talk to his lawyer and family and friends. Maybe he has a chance.
